Most people know a theme park inspired by one famous mouse. But one dedicated to monkeys? At Monkeyland, a natural habitat located deep in the Dominican Republic’s jungle and home to squirrel monkeys. On this 5.5-hour guided tour where you'll also explore the habitat's on-site botanical garden, as well as a coffee and cacao plantation. Chat it up with local farmers, learn about their organic methods and taste tropical fruit just plucked from a tree. Hotel transport from Punta Cana and Bavaro is included.

So much fun! The staff is incredibly wonderful and the monkeys are so well cared for. Gary our tour guide was so knowledgeable about the area and it was so wonderful learning about the culture as well as the cocao! Definitely would recommend!

This was such a fun experience! You get to learn about Dominican culture and try coffee and chocolate. The moneys were soo much fun and they make sure you get a lot of good pics. Definitely recommend this!

Sammy was our tour guide. Really funny guy!! Expected to be surrounded by monkeys. Very cute monkeys. The experience is decent but I personally don’t think it’s worth it For half of the price you get the buggy ride.

We had an amazing day at Monkeyland and the Plantation Safari! The tour was really well organised from start to finish. The guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and kept everyone entertained throughout the trip. The visit to the local plantation was fascinating – we learned about Dominican coffee, cacao, and coconut oil production, and even got to taste freshly made products. The staff made it feel authentic and not overly touristy, which we really appreciated. Monkeyland itself was the highlight. The squirrel monkeys were so friendly and playful – they climbed right onto us and were gentle with everyone, including the kids. The setting was clean, safe, and beautifully maintained. The only small downside was the order of the tour — it would be better to do Monkeyland first, as by the afternoon some of the younger children were starting to get a bit tired and restless. Overall, it was a perfect mix of culture, nature, and fun. Would highly recommend this excursion to families, couples, or anyone visiting Punta Cana looking for something unique and memorable!

How delighted that in my short time here in DR that I chose the Monkeyland/Plantation excursion over other options. Angel, our tour guide through Adventureland, taught me so many things about the local culture and more specifically about the sustainability of this beautiful land through its cocoa, coffee, vanilla, cinnamon, mango, avocado and other resources. There are no words for how fun it was to interact with all of the monkeys. So many mother monkeys carrying their young. So many great photos to share with friends. Additionally,our transportation there and back was wonderful in Alberto's capable hands. A huge win and great window into Dominican life.
So worth it!!

Loved this experience!! The little monkeys 🐒 were so cute. I got so much great pics and selfies with them! The cacao/vanilla/mamajuana demonstration was great (I bought some).

It's way longer than 4 hours. Pick up at 1:20 returned 7:30. Activity with monkeys last less than hour and was the best part. Just frustrating took longer than expected. Therefore I missed my second activity bcuz I didn't return back on time.

Ruddy is a fantastic tour guide! He talked about the culture during the drive to Monkeyland, along with random facts and jokes! He has an amazing energy, and made even the car ride very fun. Getting to feed the monkeys was amazing, there were so many of them. They go over the rules before entering the cage. There were so many babies too. Leonardo was also an amazing driver. Both of them together made the trip memorable. Highly recommend and I would book again.
