The original email stated that pick-up would occur between 7:00–8:00 a.m. and that I would receive a follow-up email the day before with the exact pick-up time and location. Unfortunately, that communication never arrived. I had to send multiple emails, texts, and phone calls without response. On the morning of the tour, I finally reached someone who provided the pick-up details, but my son and I had to rush to avoid missing the van. The ride itself began in silence for nearly 40 minutes before the driver finally engaged passengers, which provided some interactions. Upon arrival, however, the organization felt chaotic. Guests were herded from one place to another with little communication or directives from staff. A good number of guest were seated to listen to the delivery of instructions that were told with such dryness. While I fully support the care and respect for the monkeys, the start of this tour was uninspired and set a negative tone. At the end of this, we were taken into smaller groups to the section where we would interact with the spider monkeys. The staff in charge of this portion of the tour held a robotic manner, lacking enthusiasm or any sense of warmth. The interaction with the spider monkeys was undeniably delightful and the highlight of the tour. Unfortunately, what followed diminished the experience. We were led through a lecture on coffee beans and coconuts that felt more like filler than enrichment. The tour included a cup of either coffee or hot chocolate, but the cup was so tiny that it was more like a sip. The most disappointing portion was being seated in rows for nearly 40 minutes while a staff member presented items for sale—an experience that felt uncomfortably like a timeshare presentation, that I never signed up for. To end this misleading “safari”, was the offered beverage, which was desperately needed on this very hot and humid day. We were all given one paper cup and soda was poured from a soda bottle. In summary, the spider monkeys were wonderful, but the rest of the tour felt burdensome, disorganized, and focused more on sales than on creating a memorable, engaging experience for guests. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration to improve communication, staff engagement, and overall guest experience moving forward.

Love seeing Monkeys. The experience was amazing and we were allowed to spend time with them, as well as feed them.

DO IT ❤️ Sensation & Carlos were awesome. 👏 So much fun and the monkeys are so cute. They give you a bowl with food and the monkeys jump on you. You cannot pick them up or pet them. You can take your own pictures and they will take some of you that you can purchase at the end for $41 USD.
