  First of all I want to say, this will say it’s hotel pick up. It is for some hotels, but other hotels you have a main gate pick up and you’ll need a taxi. Bbq lunch? No, it’s a beach buffet! The food was very poor quality. The island is very pretty, and worth it. Just choose another company. If I would have read the reviews of the actual company I would have cancelled. Not only did they leave us poor communication on which gate we were supposed to meet them but they couldn’t wait 2 minutes for us and we watched the van drive away. Forcing us to grab a taxi (it was about a 3 mile walk to the main gate of the two resorts) and meet them at a very shady gas station. They forced us to pay 40 usd as we “no-showed”. If you do not have the international pass for this activity with your cell phone plan good luck. The tour guide Alex was great! He was very informative on the history of the area. I guess my biggest concern was the fact that they did not work with me at all after missing the van. They were rude about if until I gave them the 40 dollars cash. When the activity was complete, they drove us to the lobby of our resort. Leaving everyone who were dropped off thinking something wasn’t right. We were grateful for at least that but honestly I would never book with them again. They do make one stop at the half way point so you can get coffee, go to the bathroom and change if needed. We were harassed by people wanting to sell their cigars, or jewelry. I’ve done plenty of Viator activities through them and this was the worst experience I’ve had.

  We had a great time on this excursion! The water was beautiful and the food & drinks were great! Benjamin was the best tour guide! Definitely recommend!

• Transportation could be an issue to Saona Island

  Once we got to the destination it was lovely but the transportation on the speed boats was deplorable! Our first boat the engines died then we had to load onto another boat that the engines would only go backwards. Then we had to wait for some maintenance man with a screwdriver came & did his magic. We were on our way with 2 other boats as well when one of the other boats broke down & our boat people helped them to get started again. This reduced our time at the destination & was not appreciated for the money we spent. I feel a partial reimbursement should be in order for this time not spent enjoying the excursion!

• Fun but be aware of all the vendors and others trying to overcharge for other items.

  Price is decent for the tour, but they will overcharge you for everything else so be careful. They showed up 15 later than we were told. Then we waited on the side of the road for another 15 minutes for other buses to show up. 1st stop we had was at a store for bathrooms and shoping. Price for a deck of cards is $7 and other items are expensive. Lots of vendors trying to sell you stuff at the marina while you wait for your boat ride. They will take pictures of you in the water while swimming and told us $220 for the pictures. Crazy expensive. I spent only $40 for just as many pictures for zip lining with a different company. Food was decent and plenty. We got roped into a full body massage, so be careful unless you like to burn money. $90 for 45 minutes. They won't tell you how long of a massage your getting. Only that they will keep doing it until finished. We learned our lesson, spending $270 for 3 people getting a 45 min massage. Took about 90 min on the boat ride back. Had a fun time dancing and the scenery is beautiful. Another 90 min bus ride back to our hotel. It was a fun trip. I just felt pressured to buy stuff and that the prices are too high. They also charge 18% fee if you use a CC or apple pay. Bring cash if you want to buy anything.

  Great experience lots of fun with a great price food was great and the open bar with unlimited drinks was awesome the people who worked the tour were amazing and fun Eduardo is a legend!!
