"The tour is like a roller coaster of emotions, from stories of the civil war and gang violence to crowded and chaotic markets. It's a fantastic way to see San Salvador," commented one of our clients.
We invite you to discover the country's capital, which has changed the most in Latin Americ, a place that not long ago was known as the murder capital of the world.
Walk the most iconic squares in the city, visit Rosary Church, one of the few Brutalist churches on the continent, and visited by thousands of tourists. And what about the National Library — the most modern in Central America? Visit Romero’s crypt — he was assassinated while celebrating Mass, and his tomb is visited by thousands of people.
Learn about history and culture; laugh, taste, and walk with us.
We are Traveling Souls (Carlos and Gio) – passionate, dedicated guides, ready to show you El Salvador from a whole new perspective.

I did the history tour in San Salvador in Spanish and my guide was Isaac. It was a small group and I did the Spanish to help me practice my Spanish since I mainly speak English when I’m at home. Isaac was very engaging and knowledgeable about the topics he covered. Since the group was small it was no trouble for me to stop him when I didn’t understand a word or phrase. I know a tour is good when I’m taking notes on topics I want to research more and I definitely was excited to learn more about the architect Ruben Martinez. I highly recommend this tour with Isaac if possible.

Our guides were Carlos and Azucena. They were so much fun! There was a loteria game throughout the tour which was a fun idea. We went through the town square, the cathedral, the market area where we tried fruits and tamales. Learned a lot about the civil war and just so many interesting facts overall. Super informative and great value. Definitely do this tour first thing when you arrive in San Salvador!

Had the pleasure of being part of Isaac’s San Salvador tour. He was excellent- so full of history and insight. He injected personal anecdotes and a bit of humor (tasteful) into what could otherwise have been a morose tour (due to the sad history). Thank you!

I joined this walking tour solo and had an incredible afternoon exploring San Salvador’s historic center with Isaac and Carlos. They were warm, knowledgeable, and made me feel totally welcome. Their stories brought the city to life, especially the fascinating history behind Iglesia El Rosario — easily the highlight of the tour for me! The pace was perfect, and they tailored parts of the walk to my interests. We even stopped for a local snack, which was a fun surprise. As a solo traveler, I felt safe, engaged, and truly connected to the city thanks to them. Highly recommended!
