Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia are functioning mosques and they can be closed to visitors for any reason, even without pre-notice (for a high-level state visit, for example)

Nobody can skip the line at either of the mosques although our guides make it easier and more efficient because they do it every day.

Istanbul has notoriously bad traffic. Give more time to get to the meeting spot than you may have planned

Tickets are timed and expire within 5 to 10 minutes.

Please be advised that it is not possible to join the tour after it has commenced.

Please note that women should be required to wear a headscarf when entering the mosque.

Please note that both men and women should wear clothing that covers their shoulders and knees. Shorts, sleeveless tops, and other revealing attire are not permitted inside.

You are not allowed to bring signs, symbols, banners, flags, documents, drawings, or any materials representing political, ideological, or religious beliefs inside the Hagia Sophia.

Please note that the 'Starting from Galata Port' option is available only for cruise guests.

Please note that skip-the-line access is available for adults only. Children under the age of 7 do not benefit from this access.

Please note that children under 7 are not permitted on this tour.

    This is a must-do tour if you are in Istanbul. Mert was a fabulous tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the history of both mosques, knew where to take good pictures, got us all to shade when needed, and had some funny stories/jokes. The Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque have to be visited. They are 400 yards from one another and could not be more different experiences. Be prepared to dress conservatory. Men need pants and women will need head, shoulders, and knees covered. Covers for men and women are for sale outside the Hagia Sophia. Covers are available to borrow outside the Blue Mosque, but if you already had to buy at the HS, you won’t be able to take advantage of the ones to borrow at the BM. Be prepared to remove shoes at the BM. Snacks and drinks are available to purchase at the beginning and half way through the tour. Bathrooms are available after the HS and before the BM. (Women-the bathroom features stand up toilets. According to my wife, wearing a skirt/dress will be better than pants) There is a security checkpoint where you walk through a metal detector to enter the HS. The BM has cubicles to put shoes in, but if you don’t want to leave them there, you can carry them. My wife thought a bag for shoes might be a good idea. Do the morning tour if coming to Istanbul in the summer. Lines were way shorter. Awesome tour! Worth the money! Mert is awesome. Tip him well!

    Wonderful tour! Great information provided. Really enriched our experience of visiting Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque and Hippodrome. The only drawback was that the earphone provided to hear the tour guide cut in and out. Luckily we had our own earphones so it wasn’t a problem. Highly recommend the tour for the information, ease of entry, and overall experience - just bring your own earphones.
