Gedikpasa Hamami offers a unique Turkish bath experience, steeped in 550 years of history which was built to a 2350 square-metre zone at old city part of Istanbul by the command of Gedik Ahmet Pasha in 1457 , having a breathtaking 16-meter-high cieling .
Located just across from the iconic Grand Bazaar, this historic bath is not just a place for cleansing but a journey into the heart of Turkish tradition , get you served in seperate sections as men and woman , with same-gender therapists' services , variety of massages and selection of Privacy.
Upon entering the hamam, you’re greeted by the warmth of marble floors and the soft echo of water. The ritual begins with a relaxing steam bath, preparing your skin for the full exfoliation that follows. A skilled attendant uses a traditional kese (scrubbing mitt) to remove dead skin, leaving you refreshed and revitalized.

5.00What an experience. You get to be a Sultan for a few hours. As an American man the thought of another man giving me a scrub down and massage was unsettling. We looked at some of the couples options where we could get the experience together, but decided to go with the traditional Hamman. The headline here is that we immediately booked another session again for 4 days later, that's how awesome it was. The hot marble sauna was great. All the stress of work, domestic politics, and the madness of Istanbul slowly left my mind and body like the drops of sweat leaving my body. I really felt in the moment. The scrubbing was just right. The foam cleaning was actually the best massage I have ever had. The whole experience was rejuvenation of mind, body, and soul. Not being with my wife allowed me to selfishly concentrate on my experience. (Wife felt the same way) As mentioned we did this twice in a week and both experience were consistently awesome. We did these early on weekdays and both of us had our sections to ourselves. I highly recommend this place. Be a Sultan and pamper yourselves. Don't deny yourself this experience.
I really needed this after a long flight the day before.

5.00AMAZING experience from the time I arrived to the time I left! I believe Sophia was the name of my masseuse and she was so kind and so amazing. She made the experience very comfortable and relaxing! Would definitely do this again!!!

5.00The place is smaller than anticipated. Wide angle photos make it seem larger. This is true of many travel photos. The service was superb. One small note. I am a female who was not provided with temporary underwear as anticipated. I was not aware that I could have worn my lingerie (bra and panties) to the massage. Otherwise it was fantastic!
Private option is not private, but nice experience in Istanbul

5.00I booked the private potion but it was not private so I suggest saving your money. The bath part was in a room with one stranger, the massage was private. This was not explained properly or I wouldn’t have booked the private option as there was no difference and it was wasted money. Each area where you are scrubbed and bubbled fits 2 people, there was not a private curtain area as described. Still worth doing just good to have proper information.
