Amazing snorkeling with a beautiful snack

5.00We booked this trip the day before as an alternative after we couldn’t get into Manuel Antonio National Park. What a lovely surprise it was to discover that there were only the two of us booked—so we ended up having the whole trip as a private experience! Mario took excellent care of us. He was friendly, cheerful, and handled everything we needed. We went on a double kayak, starting from the marina and continuing along the coastline and beaches. Along the way, we saw several species of birds, and Mario shared interesting facts about them. We paddled all the way to Biesanz Beach, where we stopped for about half an hour to snorkel. It was the most beautiful snorkeling experience we’ve ever had! As soon as we went into the water, countless fish were swimming incredibly close to us. Afterwards, we reached the beach, where Mario prepared a delicious and refreshing snack for us—included in the price! While we were swimming, it felt absolutely magical. The sea water was crystal clear and wonderfully warm. The way back went by very quickly, as we talked a lot with Mario about life in Costa Rica and compared it with our home country—it was truly interesting. Mario was amazing, always smiling, and we enjoyed the whole experience so much largely thanks to him. We highly recommend this trip!

5.00Mario was great and very informative. He took us on a delightful kayak route along the shoreline and gave us a delicious snack at a very picturesque snorkelling spot! The kayaking was very good, interspersed with bird watching and local knowledge about the area. Coming back at sunset was a delight. We felt safe at all times and were provided with dry bags for our gear. Well planned trip - simple and effective; it was a well spent 3 1/2 hours and we would highly recommend particularly if you like kayaking.

5.00Our kayak tour with Mario was fantastic! He was very kind and shared history and stories of the town and beaches we passed. We saw several wildlife, which was a plus! We are experienced kayakers but if this was our first time, we will feel that we are in good hands. The ocean was very warm and the lunch was a nice treat. We would absolutely book a tour with Mario vs booking with a larger tour company. Our experience felt personable and local. Thanks Mario for the great experience and showing us the beauty of your country, from the ocean!!!

5.00Really great experience. Fun chill 4 hours adventure with fantastic guide (Mario). Easy instructions, great equipment for both Kayaking and snorkeling, fun beach hangout with fruit and snacks. Highly recommend, we went in the afternoon so got back for sunset which was magical.

5.00Mario was amazing! He knew so much and was so helpful as we learned how to get in and out of the Kayak. He brought us to an awesome spot to see fish under water and then to a beautiful beach where he provided snacks and helped us see a sloth! He was so fun to hangout and just chat with. I recommend this experience 100%. Especially because of how awesome Mario was. Theres nothing better than doing something brand new with someone so cool! He was patient and informative!

5.00This tour might not be ideal for snorkeling during the rainy season, but it was still absolutely worth it. We didn’t have great visibility underwater, but the Quepos coastline is stunning, the water is warm and pleasant, and you really don’t want to get out. The kayaks were in excellent condition, and my guide did a great job showing me everything possible. Even without perfect conditions, it was a very enjoyable experience.
