The Cradle of Humankind
The Cradle of Humankind is a paleoanthropological site and is located about 50 km (31 mi) northwest of Johannesburg, South Africa, in the Gauteng province. Declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999, the site is home to the largest concentration of human ancestral remains anywhere in the world. The site currently occupies 47,000 hectares (180 sq mi) and contains a complex system of limestone caves. The caves are closed due to flooding.

2.00This tour was a nightmare. We were grouped with a couple with different tours. Driver was not familiar with routes or times No people skills. Did not know tour schedules

5.00The Village of Lesidi visit was amazing. The tour guide was great, as were the settings, the dancing, the shopping. It was everything! I would definitely go again and am recommending it to friends who are visiting in December. I could have done without the visit to the Cradle of Humankind.

4.00Driver was courteous and prompt. Both the museum and Ledesi Village were worthwhile. Only complaint was the driver’s car was overly scented and made me cough.
