The location of the event is very convenient, with both JR and Kintetsu lines running through the area.
It is also easily accessible from Umeda and Namba, and can be reached in about 30 minutes.
There is a large library in front of the venue, a famous sandwich shop, a Chinese restaurant, and an ice cream shop nearby.
You will be able to fully experience the beauty of Japanese yuzen washi paper.
Choose your favorite one from a variety of colorful yuzen washi.
Weave your own original kimono.
Japanese instructors, who are usually active as English conversation teachers, will teach you carefully and slowly, so beginners don't worry.
Two types of kimono works are available for you to fold.
Folded works can be framed and made into wall art or pasted on a backing paper to make greeting cards. (*Frames are sold separately.)

We will meet at JR or Kintetsu Kawachi-Eiwa Station. ↓ After the meeting, we will go together to the venue. (5-minute walk). ↓ You will choose your favorite yuzen washi paper and I will explain how to fold the kimono. ↓ After completion, we will have a break for Japanese tea or coffee. The main time is about 90 minutes. *** After the lesson experience, I will show you around the venue if you wish. I am sure you will enjoy walking around downtown Osaka without tourists. I will consult with you about shopping, recommendations, etc.

5.00We had a great time at this origami class!! Akiko did a great job of teaching us how to make two different types of kimonos and also taught us the different parts of the kimonos! We learnt a lot during this class and were also served some yummy miso soup!

She is super knowledgeable about the art of origami and provided us with clear instructions, snacks and the supplies were super organized. She truly made our origami experience amazing! 5.00I booked this origami workshop on a whim—and it ended up being one of the highlights of my trip! Akiko sensei was not only incredibly skilled but also very patient and hospitable! Within an hour, I went from a clumsy paper folder to proudly creating my own origami kimono! The studio was cozy, the atmosphere relaxed, and I left with both new skills and a deeper appreciation for this elegant art form. Perfect for families, couples, or solo travelers looking to connect with Japanese culture in a hands-on way. More importantly, supporting local businesses promoting their culture is awesome! Highly recommended!

5.00I had a very wonderful experience. I folded a kimono with origami, but it was not an ordinary origami, but a very beautiful printed origami called Yuzen Washi. I chose my favorite prints from many, but they were all beautiful and exciting. Our host Akiko is very kind and teaches us how to fold in English slowly and carefully. They also served me some very good green tea, but it was the best green tea I have ever had! It was one of the most fulfilling and memorable experiences I have had in Japan. If you like kimono and origami, you should definitely try it! You can also hear about fun kimonos! I still can't forget Akiko's thoughtful hospitality. This is the most recommended workshop!
