This unforgettable day sets off in the morning driving along the West coast of the island and then across to visit the beautiful Saint John's Chapel also known as the Mamma Mia wedding church.

There you will get some free time to walk up the 199 steps you can just admire it without going up.

Later you will learn about Skopelos virgin olive oil, making a short stop at the Stamatiou olive press.

Our next stop is at Kastani Beach for more information about the film and some relaxation.

The final stop will be at Agnontas Beach where you can swim in the crystal clear waters or enjoy a lunch at the seaside taverns.

This magnificent chapel of St.John or Agios Ioannis sits on top of a massive rock formation while gently resting on the sea. It truly is love at first site when you first glimpse the "Rock" as I love calling it. At the very top, and as you pass through the arched entrance, you can feel proud of yourselves, having climbed all the way up, taken the same steps and passed through the very same arch that some of the top Hollywood actors have passed. Whether you chose to see The Movie before you reached here, planning to see it afterwards, or simply don't much care about the notorious Mamma Mia movie, one thing is certain; you now know why this place was chosen!!!

Paralia Kastani

Kastani is one of the loveliest beaches in Skopelos, with lovely crystal waters and white sand, located 15 km west of Skopelos Town. It has a remarkable environment surrounded by pine trees that reach the edge of the shore. Its majestic landscape has made a worldwide tour with the American film "Mamma Mia", most of the scenes were shot here. Kastani becomes busy in summer, but not as busy as Elios or Klima. A sloping dirt road, just 500 meters from the bus route, will lead you to the beach.

Enjoyed the trip as we really wanted to see the church and didn’t fancy the drive as the local buses don’t go to this side of the island. The trip was well organised in the ‘ mini coach/ bus and guide really informative. Plenty of time to climb the steps at the top without feeling you are rushed or clock watching. ( an hour given and not busy as arrived before all the boat tours came in) .Next stop olive oil factory which was ok- bought some local produce to take home. Kastani beach next stop and then Agnostas beach for lunch . Really wished had lunch at Kastani as much nicer beach but only a beach bar so I suppose giving people a little more choice(2 tavernas at Agnostas). However just would have loved to swim at Kastani rather than Agnostas but felt I couldn’t as not enough time to get dry to get back on the bus. Overall enjoyed it though as saw much of the island from the bus and guide telling you about the area and towns was interesting.

Great fun facts about Mamma Mia. Absolutely beautiful locations. Additionally, we stopped at an olive oil press after the chapel. Would have liked to spend more time at Kastani Beach.

We had a lovely day on the Mama Mia tour It was worth it to see the chapel on the hill as that is not available on a bus route. The only other significant place in the movie is Kastani beach and this can be accessed by bus for 4 euros from Skopolos town. They took us to an olive oil factory. Then lunch on a beach nothing to do with Mama Mia following a quick Look at the 3 trees growing out of the rock from the bus.

Started on time, no issues throughout the day, great driver with a full bus of fans. We were well informed throughout the day as we traversed the isle . All up a great day trip , for those interested in MAMMA MIA but have little time. Staff very friendly.
This felt like a Mamma Mia tour on a budget, not for us and not as described.

We booked a small group tour which stated 15 people max but the actual tour was 35+ so everything we didn’t want it to be. We were hearded on and off the bus and the tour felt rushed. An extra stop was put in at an Olive Oil factory which we definitely want to visit. I don’t remember any Olive Oil trips in the film. The beach was lovely but again, we got an hour here, we needed two.
Yes to Mamma Mia trip!

The staff were so lovely. They were so hopeful to accommodate our big bags. Very informative. Overall such a great trip!

A great day out. The tour guide was fab, the minibus air-conditioned, and the stays at each destination were just long enough. We both really enjoyed it, and being a Mamma Mia fan is not at all necessary- it’s just a lovely way to see the Island. .

Very well organized and comfortable trip. The tour guide was very good, kept us giving nuggets and stories and well informed and entertained. We had plenty of time to walk up and see the church, get a drink at the cafe(it was a super hot day). Then we went stopped by the lovely beaches. All in all, a great day and trip.

They were punctual, friendly and very informative. It was a great experience and the guide was really funny. The only thing I was sad about was the fact that when he spoke on the bus you couldn‘t properly hear him because the bus was too loud but other than that everything was great!

I really enjoyed most of the trip. The drive took us through some beautiful scenery and our guide was very informative. We had plenty of time to walk up to the chapel and enjoy the breathtaking views. The visit to the olive press was interesting. Kastani beach was busy but there were plenty of sunbeds to relax on for an hour or so just for the cost of a drink. I was disappointed with the last stop at Agnontas beach. The taverna staff seemed a little rude at times and the food I had wasn’t particularly good. There were no beds here to sit and relax on so I found myself just wandering up and down once I’d eaten as there was nothing else to do. All in all though it was an enjoyable trip and everything else made up for the disappointing bit so I’m glad I did it.
