  This was a truly great day! It was one unique experience after another, starting with the fact that it was a private tour that picked us up right at our door. Our guide, Andrés, was so lovely and kind. He picked us up, and we drove about 1hr out of Quito into the Mindo Cloud Forest and stopped for a hike to a waterfall which was truly beautiful). Then we headed to another stop in the forest where we went to see wild hummingbirds, and I cannot say enough good about this part of the experience. You hold little nectar cups and the hummingbirds will land on you (and it is a fully sustainable process, they are still wild in the middle of the forest, and have access to plenty of food if the nectar stopped being provided). We saw so many different species. Then we headed to a butterfly sanctuary, where we saw many more birds and TOUCANS!! We followed that up with a traditional lunch in Mindo which was delish, and a final stop for chocolate. There was so much info, Andrés was truly a wealth of knowledge and could identify all the birds and flora. Couldn’t recommend more.

  This was a great tour! Andreas was very knowledgeable, we learned so much about the culture in Ecuador and everything about the plants in the cloud forest. One of our favorite parts of the tour was the hummingbirds feeding right from our hands. Adriana was also great on our tour taking pictures and offering more insight on the culture and history of the country. It was New Years Eve and we learned and saw much of the traditions of the Ecuadorian people. Including the teenage boys dressing up as women, it was something. They helped us buy a traditional dummy to burn at midnight to usher out the last year. Highly recommend this tour.

  Inés was our guide, just spectacular, a wonderful day, magnificent weather and we had the opportunity to see stunning birds, excellent tour. Recommended for all people.

  An excellent trip with our guide Agnes, bird-savvy, places with natural resources out of the range, we tasted a delicious chocolate and delicious food, a trip 100% recommended and unforgettable.

  We had an amazing day with Andreas visiting the Mindo Cloud Forest. His knowledge and love for nature is clear for all to see. The hummingbird experience is a must do and was one of the highlights of our trip. We had a lovely lunch in a local restaurant and then dessert at the chocolate factory. It was a very well thoughout itinerary with loads to see, and thank you for trying your hardest Andreas, to find me a toucan! It didn’t happen unfortunately but it definitely didn’t spoil the day! We would recommend 100%

  We had a great experience on this tour to Mindo. The landscapes were absolutely beautiful and made our trip really special. Our guide Ines was very kind and friendly. She knew a lot about the area, which made our visit even more enjoyable throughout the day. Being a private tour, everything felt personalized and we could enjoy at our own pace. The transportation was comfortable, everything was well organized and the overall treatment received was excellent. I would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great day trip with beautiful scenery and excellent service.

  A group of us friends went with Inez J in Dec 25 to Mondo ( and a couple of days in Quito as well. Today she did a very warm and wonderful guiding job would be an understatement. In addition to being grateful to this cheerful and warm guide, I would without hesitation give her my highest rating! Thank you Inez!

  A great experience with a fantastic guide! He has always tried hard , answered all questions and kept an eye out! So it was also possible to see a yellow-headed Tucan among others! THANK YOU!!!!! Just unforgettable !!!

  The tour to Mindo was great. We saw so many birds. Ines our guide was very flexible with the activities, the chocolate experience was also very nice.

  This private tour is a must do! Our guide, Andrés, was incredibly knowledgeable and flexible, tailoring the experience to our interest in seeing toucans. Andrés spoke perfect English and we were able to have complete conversation. We ended up spotting so many beautiful toucans, hummingbirds and other bird species. We used our phones to take pictures and they were still awesome. I recommend a nicer camera to help for farther away birds.
