Our Nauyaca Waterfall adventure begins with a scenic, one-hour ride to the park entrance. Once there, we’ll hop onto a tractor ride that takes us down the jungle path, where you’ll learn all about the area’s fascinating flora and fauna from your guide. Your reward awaits at the stunning Nauyaca Waterfalls, a two-tiered natural wonder: The Lower Tier (75 ft): This large pool is perfect for swimming, relaxing, and cliff jumping into the fresh water. The Upper Tier (150 ft): A dramatic cascade with great areas to explore and take breathtaking photos. After refreshing ourselves, we’ll take the tractor back up the hill to a local restaurant where a delicious, traditional Costa Rican lunch awaits before we head back to town.

5.00Beautiful, well organised and not too busy. Beware of very slippery rocks if swimming in the falls. Saw a couple of people slip and hurt themselves. We took the 4x4 option which was quicker and easier especially in the heat. The two hour time slot was just right.

5.00What a blast! Eric & Moses (his son) took such good care of us. They matched us up with the right horse for our skill level. We had a younger child with us and Eric was always aware where he was and how his horse was doing. The actual waterfall is amazing and the ride up to and back is great too. Not to mention the excellent lunch that was provided. Well worth the money!

5.00Our family of 4 (2 adults, 11 year old and 5 year old) absolutely loved this day - riding horses to the falls, swimming in the giant poza at the base of the falls, and then a yummy lunch during the ride back - where we saw toucans, peacocks and sloths up close. Our 5 year old was able to ride his own horse while one of the guides held on to his horse's reins. It was the first time riding for most of us in our family. The terrain is quite hilly and it is a bit of long trek -- would be very challenging to hike it with kids. Swimming at the poza was incredible. The guides also set up a rope and helped people who wanted to climb on the rocks and jump in. There are bathrooms and changing rooms at the falls area. On the way back we stopped at the lunch spot where they had a large meal ready of chicken, rice, beans, and salad - it was a great way to break up the ride back. Really fun day and great way to see the falls!

5.00Highly recommend Nauyaca Waterfall Tour with Javier as tour guide through Dante's. Javier is a courteous, thoughtful, and extremely knowledgeable professional tour guide who made this private tour the BEST part of our Costa Rican vacation. My kids loved the visit to the upper and lower falls, swimming out to the waterfall and playing in the stream. Javier carried and cut a cooler of fresh fruit and then we stopped for an authentic Costa Rican lunch on the way home. We are so happy we booked with Javier and Dante's! We only wish we had met Javier earlier in our trip to tour Maneul Antonio Park or do the SUP tour with him. HIGHLY HIGHLY Recommend!

5.00Had a great time! Javier took us to local spots along the way. We were able to see the falls roaring due to all the recent rain and still able to safely dive in and have a dip in the lower pool. Delicious pineapple and traditional Costa Rican lunch of Casavo (beans and rice with fried plantains) were included.

5.00The whole experience was great! Antonio and Javier were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The waterfalls were beautiful and the lunch on the ride back was excellent authentic food!

5.00The Nauyaca waterfall excursion is great for those who want to remain active while on vacation. The hike is approximately 4 miles roundtrip and well worth it. We were ecstatic to get into the water by the time we reached the top. The current in the waterfall was very strong so if you are not a strong swimmer, be cautious. Our guide was very friendly and educational. For those who are interested in seeing the waterfall and may not want to hike, there is a 4x4 vehicle that can transport you to and from. Although the hike was fairly intense (with the humidity) we'd highly recommend this excursion.

5.00Costa Rica is a friendly and charming country and this tour was no different. Our guide was very accommodating and patient. The hike is a little strenuous for the average person but they go out of their way to ensure you have a positive experience. The waterfall was beautiful and the scenery A pis unbelievable.
