Had a great time experiencing different San Miguel dishes with Sam. He knew a lot about the places and the food that we tried. I especially liked the cajeta ice cream and churros. San Miguel is a wonderful place to submerge yourself in the richness of culture and food. Recommend this tour to anyone.

We had an amazing experience with Elisa Torres. She was so knowledgeable about the history of food in central Mexico. We were a large multi-generational family of 9 and she tailored the experience so that everyone was entertained. We’d, without hesitation, recommend this tour and Elisa!

This is a great way to learn a little bit about the history of San Miguel and get introduced to some of the local cuisine. Omar was an awesome guide and storyteller! I recommend doing this tour at the beginning of your visit; San Miguel’s food choices are vast, but this is a great jumping off point, and Omar can set you up with more food experiences and other attractions for the rest of your visit.

Great experience! Omar is a fantastic guide for this excursion into the food and history of San Miguel. He is charming and laid back and extremely knowledgeable. This is a 5 course journey so come hungry. We visited different restaurants for the first 3 courses and finished with the last 2 in one of San Miguel's beautiful historic squares.

Omar led us on a fantastic food tour, blending the history of local foods with the long and fascinating history of San Miguel de Allende and the surrounding areas. The food was delicious and (almost too) plentiful, and Omar was a great source of local knowledge. It was a perfect way to spend an afternoon.

My wife and I went on this tour on 11/16/25. Our guide Omar was outstanding. He provided a great amount on interesting history about San Miguel and about the history of Mexican food. We had five food stops that were all excellent, ending with a churro. A fresh fruit type drink was provided at three of the stops and was very refreshing. I can’t say enough good things about this food tour.
