Tea Ceremony & Foot Bath Experience at the Temple ( 45 min) Our staff will explain the history and origins of the temple , as well as how to worship, using guidebooks . We will thoroughly explain the temple, the act of worship, and the rich traditions and history of matcha, allowing you to fully appreciate Japan’s wonderful culture. During the experience, we will also take photos with your smartphone and gift them to you. Enjoy the deep flavors of matcha in the tranquil environment of a temple. 5.00We had such a lovely afternoon. Just three mates traveling through. It was so relaxing. Would recommend this to anyone. The teachers were as lovely as you'd imagine them to be.

5.00I was the only one doing the ceremony. I have the undivided attention of two lovely females. I felt incredibly well looked after and it was very relaxing experience and I think good value for money.

4.00It was a rainy day and this was the perfect secret spot to take a break from the rain - in close proximity to the train station. To experience a tea ceremony in a mini temple was so peaceful. We changed into yukata, and were led through meditation and expressing gratitude and prayers. Totally relaxed by then, with the warm foot bath. Finally we experienced the tea ceremony and wagashi. The explanation was pretty brief and focused on demonstration and trying our hand at preparation of our personal cup of matcha. If you are expecting a more elaborate explanation and on etiquette preparing tea for guests, this is not it. If you want a relaxing experience away from the crowd for couples or small family, this is it !!!

5.00This is such a wonderful and immersive experience. The Ceremony, the kimono and foot bath are all physically and spiritually invigorating. It's done in a 500 year old temple! The staff are kind and skilled, working to make it a fantastic experience. The matcha ceremony and wasashi sweets were also fantastic. If I go through Osaka again I will absolutely visit again. If only this experience was replicated back home!
