Walk the path of Fushimi Inari Shrine with 1,000 Torii gates lining the path to the top of the mountain. Walk in the old town of Gion. See the deers in Nara Park. Visit the great Buddha in Todai temple.

Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine

Fushimi Inari Taisha, founded in the year 711 to worship the Shinto god of rice, Inari. Consistently listed as one of the most popular places in Japan. It is the most visited shrine in all of Japan. Over 2.5 million Japanese will visit the shrine during the first three days of the new year to pray for good luck, particularly in work and business. Join them and other tourists and locals climbing through the 1,000= torii gates that line the hillside and bask in over 1300 years of history.

Very good tour. Our tour guide Taka was very kind, knowledgeable and easy to talk to. He actually lived in New York for a couple of years which made conversation much easier. Kyoto was nice. I can’t really speak about Gion because I didn’t walk around. We sat to eat at Rigoberto Smoke Grill and Bar and the food was delicious. The highlight for us was definitely Nara Deer Park and the Todai-Ji Temple. The temple is breathtaking and feeding the deers outside of the temple was a fun experience. Highly recommend.

Our guide, Taka, is very easy going and speaks english well. He steered us away from crowds whenever possible and gave us some great lunch recommendations! Tip: being bug spray for the trip to the shinto shrine, especially if you wish to hike through the bamboo forest! We stopped briefly in Gion for lunch. Not much time if you decide to grab lunch, so we were unable to do the geisha exhibit. Overall Highly recommended.

This tour is perfect to see all the spots if you are limited on time. I wish we had an extra 20-30 minutes at each stop, but other than that my family and I had a great experience. Takayuki was a fun tour guide.

Taka was a very amazing tour guide! It was a hot day that we did the tour, but he made sure we stayed hydrated. He was very knowledgeable and answered all questions we had regarding the spots we visited. We would definitely book with him again.
