Turkish Paper Marbling is an important part of our culture as it has been used for designs through the history. Due to it's uniquness, it is also listed as one of the Unesco World Cultural Heritages.

We are pretty sure that there are great Marbling workshops in Istanbul. What makes us different is bringing this unique experience together with Turkish home hospitality.

Having the experience held at a calm central home with warm vibes would let the connection between the instructor and the guests to be a real bond. As Turks, we take hospitality seriously, that's why we like to make people feel at home. Isn't it also a great way to bring your inner creativity when you feel more peaceful?

That's how this experience would be. Just like learning and creating at a friend's home that you feel like having known since a long time.

Firstly, you will be welcomed to a home in central Istanbul, Beşiktaş. After warming up with Ahmet, our dear Marbling instructor, you will be given some historical and cultural information about this Turkish Art, Paper Marbling. Although the art is called with different names such as; water marbling, marbling art, water marbling paint, turkish marbling, Turkish paper marbling; in Turkish, we simply call it Ebru. After some information about the art and some insider access to Turkish home hospitality (big part of Turkish culture), you will start learning this traditional Turkish art with different technics that are used. Having learned how to bring your creativity to visuality through Turkish/Ottoman paper marbling would be one of the most unique experiences you can have in Turkey, considering the fact that you will also be experiencing Turkish home hospitality. You will leave this experience with a feeling of fulfillment and connection. Both with the art itself and the local friends you created bonds with. So, come, be our guests to learn, create and connect together.

My son and I booked this experience to learn more of the local cultural hands on. The entire time with Ahmet he was attentive, informative and very patient. He opened his home to us and made the experience comfortable and fun. I liked that the experience is limited to how many people are booked. More one on one time. Not only did we learn the art of Ebru but we made some great memories and friends.

This is a unique experience! From Ahmet’s apartment full with plants, art and good energy until the music, healthy delicious snacks and of course the class itself!! It’s such a beautiful art and your imagination is the limit! Very delicate with the way he teaches and shares the techniques! Gracias Ahmet 🙏 hope I could come and continue learning 💫

As a Turk, I can't believe that I haven't done marbling in all these years. Ahmet is very knowledgeable and very generous in sharing everything he knows. He has created a wonderful environment in his home to give you this experience, you feel like you have entered an oasis with lush green plants, great music, and works of art from which you can draw inspiration from every corner of the house. After showing you the basic techniques, it provides you with all the materials so you can try it yourself. Ending the day with works of art you made is truly priceless. I will go to try this again as soon as possible

We had fun learning marbling with Ahmet, he showed us several techniques and we got a chance to make our very own creations with different types of ink. The time flew by and we enjoyed also snacks in his lovely home.

I can't say enough good things about Ahmet and his Ebru workshop. His kindness and patience as a teacher were truly remarkable. He made sure we were comfortable and at ease throughout the experience, and his passion for Ebru was evident in every step of the process.
Special drawing, beautiful oil paintings, nice person, new ideas, believe me you will like it.

A special drawing of a different kind that teaches you more than one technique for oil painting. I have two oil paintings from it. I liked it very much. You should try it. You can visit it if you like it 😁😁 A different feeling
