My husband and I loved our tour! It was raining bad all day but our tour guide made it a great experience. She took us to sake tasting and the craft activity. She answered random questions we had about Takayama and Japanese life. I dont drink alcohol anymore but my husband does, so he did the sake tasting, but she also took us to a coffee shop owned by her friends! She found out that i like knitting and crafts so she also took me to a fabric shop. Her friends at the coffee shop were very welcoming and even gave us a small gift. She also helped us find out where to take the bus to our next destination. We connected over being dog owners and she brought her Akita and husband to the bus station on our last day there to meet and send us off. It was a great experience that made me feel welcome. We also took a rickshaw and the operator took pics of us and gave use suggestions of stores and places to get sweets.
