The tour starts in front of the Meiji shrine. We then would admire Tokyo's most impressive landmarks Yoyogi gymnasium by Kenzo Tange from the distance. We will stop by at the contemporary and unique fashion boutique architecture such as The Iceberg, Dior, Louis Vuitton, Tod's, Sunny hills and Prada. By taking a side trip to see the backstreet neighborhood, we could appreciate the different aspects of the area and be amused how diverse the area is. We will stop to sit to have a short break while walking and enjoy some conversation.

5.00My partner and I like to start any trip with a walking tour to get our bearings and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with Taka. We learned so much about architecture and development in Tokyo as well as the famous architects and designers that have left their mark on Harajuku. I highly recommend this tour, particularly for those interested in getting a bit more context on the built environment.

5.00Had an AMAZING experience! Our tour guide was so knowledgeable about the local buildings and architects. She adjusted the tour to things we were most interested in and also increased the length of the indoor parts of the tour because it was so hot outside. I would highly recommend this if you’re interested in architecture/design/local culture!
