Great cities are great conversations, and this place has a million stories to tell. My name is Francisco, and I'll be your host. I'm a writer, photographer, and foodie who has traveled over 500 cities around the world. I've lived and worked as a guide in Tokio, Barcelona, Berlin, Amsterdam, and the Middle East. For the past 11 years, though, Mexico City's Historic Center has been my home.
In this private walking tour, you'll embark on an immersive journey guided by a celebrated local writer. Choose a real storyteller to tell you this city's history. Whether you're an art enthusiast, aztec aficionado, or simply a curious traveler, this tour will leave you with a deeper appreciation for Mexico City's soul.

The tour is customizable and can be booked for different lengths of time. Depending on the hours booked, the sights we visit may change; we'll choose them based on your interests.
If you book one of the longer versions of the tour and we visit areas beyond the Historic Center, we'll use public transportation to get there.
If you book one of the longer versions of the tour and we visit a museum, the entrance ticket its not included.

5.00Fantastic experience! Francisco was knowledgeable, friendly, fun to hang out with, and generous with his time. We learned a ton and saw incredible art and architecture. He has a deep knowledge of the city and its history and is a wonderful storyteller able to bring it all to life. Very highly recommended!

5.00Absolutely loved this historical tour of Mexico City with award-winning author Francisco. It offered such a unique perspective on the city. Francisco took us through incredible courtyards and places I’m sure many locals have never seen—hidden courtyards, stunning art exhibitions, “the secret Diego,” and the amazing library with Vladý murals. We ended up asking to extend the tour—two hours will absolutely leave you wanting more. We should have booked four. Beyond the tour itself, Francisco shared countless suggestions on how to make the most of our time in Mexico City. We’ll definitely be taking him up on those and clearly need to come back. Feeling incredibly fortunate to have chosen this tour. Thank you!

5.00Francisco gave us a wonderful tour of the Historic District of Mexico City. Our correspondence on What’s Ap prior to the tour was helpful and our meeting point was easy to find. During the tour we saw places we expected and other places we did not. That made the tour even better than we expected. He provided unique and thoughtful information for every aspect of the tour, and even included a great stop for tacos. After the tour he sent us recommendations for restaurants and other activities. Every aspect of this tour exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend it.

5.00Really really excellent walking tour. This isn’t your usual “I’ve learned a few interesting tidbits of Mexican history” walking tour. Francisco is a very brilliant and knowledgeable guy, was happy to answer questions from all of us, tailored the trip to what we hadn’t already seen and was incredibly informative. I wish I had booked a longer tour! He is a super thoughtful guy. Really couldn’t recommend it more highly.

5.00Great diverse experience. Francisco covered architecture, history, art of the city. Very knowledgeable but even better so enjoyable to be with. Best one on one tour I ever had in 3o years traveling around the world. Would highly recommend a tour with him.

5.00Spending 4 hours with Francisco walking in El Centro de CDMX was like spending a wonderful afternoon with a very knowledgeable friend. He was informed and talked about historical facts and their political ramifications. He was curious about each of us three as human beings and asked good questions, integrating his narrative to our interests. He brought his love of and knowledge about poetry to the poets and artists whose work we viewed in various exhibitions. And last but not least, we went to his favourite taco shop in Mexico and introduced us to Aztec tacos! He gets my top rating!!
