Bayeux
Your Gentleman Sider (Guide/Driver) will meet you with his retro sidecar at the pickup location of your choice, or at the Bayeux Tourist Office, or at the Bayeux Bus Station. He will assist you in equipping helmets, gloves, and retro goggles before settling you in. There will, of course, be stops along the way for breaks and photo opportunities.
Arromanches-les-Bains
Your pilot will take you to Arromanches-les-Bains. It was on this beach that, during the Battle of Normandy, immediately after D-Day on June 6, 1944, the Allies established Port Mulberry B, a temporary artificial harbor to facilitate the landing of heavy equipment, without having to wait for the conquest of deep-water ports such as those of Le Havre or Cherbourg (Cherbourg-en-Cotentin since 2016). Although located in the center of the Gold Beach landing zone, Arromanches was spared the brunt of the fighting on D-Day. In order to facilitate the installation and operation of a port as quickly as possible, it was essential not to damage the beach and to preserve the surrounding communication routes. Therefore, the British troops landed further east, between Asnelles and Ver-sur-Mer, and liberated Arromanches by land on the evening of June 6. The port was thus operational by June 14.

5.00Our knowledgable and courteous guide Philippe was happy to share information about the D-Day beaches that you just wouldn’t get without the guide experience. The bikes were so much fun and the countryside scenery and off main roads were immensely better than the main roads. My sister and I are early 50&51 -great time!

5.00Our guide picked us up at our hotel. The motorcycle was in great shape and extremely safe. Our guide, Jack, was AWESOME! Not only did he go out of his way to show us the must see sights, but he got in depth with the history of the war, including human interest stories I had never heard before. Jack made the experience special and I would highly recommend him to anyone.

5.00REMY was amazing. He was friendly, humorous and a very good historian. He is so knowledgable about Normandy and the landing of the troops. We definitely suggest this trip. It was a highlight. It is a somber and emotional tour that was handled with the utmost respect.

5.00Such an exciting way to experience the amazing history of the region. Philipe was super knowledgeable, accommodating and fun. We really enjoyed the sidecar motorcycle. The helmets and equipment were great. We did the ~7 hour tour and the time flew by. My son (15) and I learned a lot and enjoyed seeing these historic places firsthand. I would 100% recommend this tour.
