  This review covers two trips (airport transfer) from San Salvador International Airport to my hotel in the city, which is a good 45 min drive with no traffic. Trip 1 - SAL Airport to Real Intercontinental Hotel - 1st week of October 2025 Rating - 5 Stars from A-Z the trip was very easy to book via website, received my confirmation via e mail and also my ticket (like a boarding pass with barcode) which I was able to add to my Apple Wallet. I was impressed. Then minutes later, I receive a text on WhatsApp from the driver, welcoming me and confirming pick up time, flight and date.... now I am even more impressed. The driver was texting me in Spanish, but no problem, I used translation app and replied to him is Spanish. I arrived in SAL on time, texted the driver and he replied within seconds that he was outside and also took a pic of the sign he's holding. Very nice!!!!! I found him the moment I walked out; we walked to the car which was parked 1 minute walk outside the terminal. He offered to bring the car, but I wanted to walk. He used a voice translator to communicate, he was very welcoming, kind and knew how to treat a customer. Trip 2 - SAL Airport to Sheraton Presidente Hotel - 2nd week of October 2025 Rating - 0 Stars from A-Z Viator went from hero to zero on trip 2, followed the same process as the first trip and received the confirmation e mail and also my ticket and I added it to my wallet. However, this time I did not get a text from the driver as last time. Well, didn't know what to make out of it, but I have my confirmation e mail and also electronic ticket (boarding pass) in me Apple Wallet. I arrived at the airport and walked out..... and no driver, I waited from 30 mins, but nothing. I called several numbers listed on the website and finally one answered. The customer service rep was nice but she was in the Philippines and tried to call the local company that's contracted with Viator but no answer. We were on the phone for a long time, but nothing. She finally told me she couldn't help me and she would refund my money, which they did. I give her good high marks for here support, unfortunately it resulted in no resolution, but not her fault. I ended up renting a car, which was not what I wanted, and it was a pain in the rear end, but that's another story. Here is the interesting part, Viator didn't even send me any info regarding this major screw up leaving a customer stranded at an airport, they sent me an e mail asking me to tell them about my experience. They were clueless to the mishap and that's as bad as not showing up to pick me up. They get 2.5 stars max

• Good driver, clean car, weird pickup process at San Salvador Airport

  San Salvador airport- driver picked us up on time with a sign inside the terminal. However you have to wait outside at a pickup area while the driver walks to a parking lot to retrieve the suv. That wouldn’t be so bad except it took about 20 minutes and it was crazy hot/humid outside. Apparently you aren’t allowed to wait inside the terminal building if you’re being picked up?

• Cars in very good condition, comfortable and excellent Service.

  The service was first class. Comfortable seats in a 4x4 vehicle, friendly and punctual driver. It was very hot outside but our trip was excellent with very soft seats and air conditioning.
