This workshop is one of the few sushi-making experiences where guests start by filleting the fish. Join a private class led by a sushi master with experience at a Michelin-starred restaurant. Watch live demonstrations of professional knife work and nigiri preparation, and learn how cutting technique, ingredient balance, and seasonality transform each piece of sushi.
All steps will be guided by fully bilingual staff under private settings so that you can fully immerse yourself in the craft of sushi making. In the Edomae tradition, precise preparation techniques are what bring out the best in each ingredient. This fully private experience allows you to work one-on-one with our sushi master, learning the closely guarded techniques passed down through generations. Even though I was a complete beginner, I never once felt intimidated. The instructor made us feel comfortable from the start and encouraged questions throughout the class. It was a very friendly and inclusive experience.

This class exceeded all my expectations. The instructor not only taught us the techniques but also shared fascinating stories about the origins of sushi and the traditions behind each style. Learning the cultural background made the hands-on part even more meaningful. I left with a completely new appreciation for Japanese cuisine.

The highlight of the session for me was learning how to shape nigiri by hand. I always thought it required years of training, but with the instructor’s patient guidance, I managed to create pieces that actually looked elegant. Eating the sushi I made myself was such a satisfying moment.
