Hi, I'm Aki! I'm a Japanese mom who loves cooking and meeting people from around the world. As a former backpacker and mother of three, I enjoy sharing Japanese culture in a warm and personal way.

In this class, I’ll show you how to make ramen and gyoza from scratch using fresh, natural ingredients—no MSG or artificial flavorings. We’ll knead the noodles, prepare a rich broth, and create delicious homemade dumplings together.

Think of me as your “Tokyo mom”—here to guide you, cook with you, and help you feel right at home.

If you have any dietary needs—such as food allergies, or vegan or halal preferences—please mention them when booking. While I’ll do my best to adjust the ingredients, please note that I may not be able to accommodate all requests.

    Craving a home cooked meal? Looking for a memorable experience and skills that you can keep with you even after leaving Japan? Look no further than this intimate experience! Aki & Kanna were wonderful hosts. The cooking process was straightforward and beginner friendly. They were there to guide us and we were involved every step of the way. They provided interesting information on the ingredients used as well, and the ramen and gyoza turned out amazing! 10/10 would recommend this experience to anyone looking for a change up from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo.

    Dad (45): We went to this experience in the last day/minute just before going to the airport. It was one of the best experiences in Japan, all the family loved it. Mom (42): They are very patient and nice in explaining everything. We went with kids, which makes it harder, but they really made the kids feel comfortable. Victor (11): The people that work there are really nice. I made some mistakes preparing the food, but they are so good in teaching that the food turned out great. David (9): It was great, very friendly and helpful. The food they helped us prepare was very tasty. I recommend recommend coming here.

    We absolutely LOVED our experience with Aki! We made the ramen and gyoza, both were delicious. She was so warm and welcoming and I would highly recommend you to take her class. We hope to be making these at home for ourselves. Was a wonderful way to spend a few hours on a rainy Saturday, such a delight.

    Aki’s cooking class was incredible from start to finish! My family enjoyed this class so much and we cannot recommend it highly enough, Aki shared her amazing culinary knowledge and walked us through each step of food preparation with warmth and ease. She made us feel right at home and gave us the confidence to recreate ramen and gyoza made from scratch. Aki’s class is an absolute must-do activity!

    I really enjoyed the cooking class with Aki-san. We prepared everything from scratch and it was all handmade, including cutting ramen noodles with a knife. I was able to improve my skills and also got more background information. It came with the recipe, so I will definitely continue cooking at home! It was a lot of fun and Aki-san took the time to show everything in detail and answer questions. I can highly recommend the course. Of course and as expected: it was very tasty!
