Inside the palace, admire the attention to detail in the bedrooms of the king and queen and the Arab Room.

Leave the palace and follow your guide to the historical center of Sintra, where you’ll have free time to explore the town, you can visit the Sintra National Palace on your own, where the Portuguese royalty of the 15th and 16th centuries used to spend the summer months (own expense) or have a drink and a snack (own expense). Try a travesseiro or a queijada, two delicious local pastries.

5.00Excellent guided tour, by Tomas. His knowledge of Portugal and the places we visited, was fabulous. It was a bummer that Pena Palace was shut, but Queluz Palace was great too.

5.00Fabio was our guide and he was an amazing and informative guide. He was able to keep us engaged throughout the long drive with information without being overbearing. Of course he was also informative at the sites. Appreciated him prioritizing shade when giving information and he had little jokes throughout which made it fun. Highly recommend this tour with Fabio!

1.00We were looking forward to this trip, as we only had two days in Lisbon. Unfortunately, Pena Palace was closed due to a fire hazard, and we were offered to visit Queluz Palace instead, continuing with the original tour. We agreed to the change, but the experience was very disappointing. It felt more like we had hired a driver rather than a tour guide. His driving was uncomfortable, with abrupt braking and accelerating on winding roads. The information he provided was minimal, repetitive, and lacked any real historical content. He had no meaningful knowledge about the castle’s history. We overheard other groups from the same company receiving excellent, detailed explanations about history and significant facts, which only highlighted how poor our guide’s performance was. This company should seriously review the quality of the guides they send out. Based on our experience, I would not recommend using this company.

5.00John was absolutely amazing. He was caring helpful and informative. He had to work around a schedule change and made it seamless. He drove the vehicle safely and made us comfortable every step of the way. This was an amazing tour. I highly recommend!
