Start your tour with the journey to Sintra. Visit Pena Park, where you will be amazed by the variety of trails, trees and other plants. Next, feel like Portuguese royalty as you enter the romantic Pena National Palace at the top of Sintra Mountain. See the Great Triton, the guardian of the palace, inspired by Manueline art. Inside the palace, admire the attention to detail in the bedrooms of the king and queen and the Arab Room. Pena Palace tickets and guided visit are included only if option "Tickets Park & Palace Included" is selected. Pena Park tickets are are included only if options "Tickets Park & Palace Included" or "Tickets Pena Park Included" are selected.
Centro Historico de Sintra
Leave the palace and follow your guide to the historical center of Sintra, where you’ll have free time to explore the town, you can visit the Sintra National Palace on your own, where the Portuguese royalty of the 15th and 16th centuries used to spend the summer months (own expense) or have a drink and a snack (own expense). Try a travesseiro or a queijada, two delicious local pastries.

5.00Great trip with plenty of time in the expected locations. We unfortunately did not get to do Pena Palace due to weather impacting travel to the location, but the company adapted as they could with the National Palace instead. Fabio was a nice guide for the trip and great small group companions.

3.00Our tour guide was incredible, but the Pena Palace was closed and we weren’t warned of this ahead of time. It would have been helpful if the company could have offered an option for a refund or a rescheduled visit, since we paid for tickets to the palace. However, our tour guide still brought us to a different palace and did an amazing job throughout the day.

5.00The weather was an obstacle but our tour guide Gonzalo(sp) was amazing, he adapted, changed the tour to fit what was open. He was personable, professional and knowledgeable. Next time I will visit in a drier month!

5.00We booked Sintra & Cascais Day tour with Pena Palace with Around Lisbon . The weather was wet and gloomy . However our friendly, knowledgeable and capable guide and driver, Oriana Silva, made our day an enjoyable one with her witty stories about the history of the places we visited and drove through. On her recommendations, we enjoyed delicious local favourites . She made a otherwise miserable gloomy day bright and beautiful with her friendliness and professionalism. Thank you, Oriana!

5.00An absolute must day trip 8hrs flew by, our guide Xavier made the day with his knowledge and experience Sintra and the Pena palace were worth the day in their own but to get all the rest in was amazing inc the most westerly point on mainland Europe , a great day out
