Here, we’ll take a moment to soak in the lively atmosphere and admire the blend of history and modern life. Did you know this was once home to Hans Christian Andersen? He lived in several houses here while penning some of his most famous fairytales. As we start our tour, let Nyhavn’s picturesque setting and rich stories welcome you to the heart of Copenhagen. From here, we’ll head towards Christianshavn and explore more of the city’s hidden gems.
Inderhavnsbroen
Known as "The Kissing Bridge," this modern architectural marvel connects historic Nyhavn with Christianshavn. Officially opened in 2016, the bridge’s sliding mechanism allows boats to pass while creating the illusion of a kiss. Designed to blend with Copenhagen’s historic waterfront, it symbolizes the city’s commitment to sustainable urban living. 5.00Otto was a great and very knowledgeable guide. He kept the group engaged with lots of stories and he has a history background so he gave us a great history lesson with a Danish flair as well. I thoroughly enjoy seeing the sites and hearing the details around each of them. Highly recommend this tour!

5.00Lots of historical info but also learnt a lot about Denmark today from our local guide, Otto. Flexible and responsive. Saw all the major landmarks, had a little ferry ride as well. A beautiful city to stroll around.
