Our 3-day tour of Uyuni Salt Flats and the southwest is different from the average tour because it is completely private for maximum comfort but above all, safety. Our driver is knowledgeable and while he is not bilingual, by booking this tour, you obtain access to a properly designed and informative iOS or Android app that you will take on the trip (available offline) to be informed at all times. They didn’t just lead the way—they made the journey deeply informative and engaging. The highlight? An unexpected off-road adventure that took a dramatic turn into a late-night rescue operation. What could’ve been a setback became one of the most memorable parts of the trip—thanks to the team’s calm expertise and quick thinking. After that, a two-hour night drive to Uyuni felt like the perfect cinematic ending to an epic day. It wasn’t just worth it—it was more than worth it. Accommodations in the comfort category were genuinely nice: clean, cozy, and well-located. Food was simple but tasty, with fresh local flavors that fueled us through long days of exploration. 5.00We did the 3 day private tour. It was a fantastic experience and the scenery is out of this world. Our english speaking guide Joana and our driver Jerry were Uyuni locals who love their jobs and know the area like the back of their hands. They made sure we were comfortable and got to see all the sights. Joana is full of energy and knowledge and a delight to be with. Jerry's driving always made us feel safe. The Banjo Tour itself is profesionally run and accommodation and food and treats are top notch for where you are. Joana does not treat you like a tourist but as a guest to her country. Highly recommend this Banjo Tour. Worth every cent.

5.00We did a 3 day tour to the Uyuni Salt Flats. It was an amazing introduction to Bolivia. The first day, we drove to Sajama National Park, which was beautiful. The following day, we made our way to the salt flat, while passing through the beautiful countryside. And the final day was enjoying everything the Uyuni salt flats had to offer. Our driver, Ruben and our guide, Ben were both very knowledgeable and accommodating. Ben is very informative, whether it was about the geography, wildlife, history, or just the country itself. Ruben was excellent on those rough backroads. Our lodging was really nice and everyone was very friendly. Even when our tour was technically over, they made sure we had a ride to the airport. I can’t recommend them enough!

5.00I contacted Ben early 2025 and he responded very rapidly with clear information that I needed. Around April we settled the package to visit Uyuni. Right before heading to Peru which was a primary part of the Andes journey, I realized that land crossing at notorious Desaguadero potentially can be challenging. Ben assisted me and provided detailed information even though this wasn’t his responsibility after all. He also arranged a car to pick us up after the border. Thank you for all the work to ensure our smooth journey. At Uyuni Nadia who was a young beautiful Bolivian lady guided us for three days. She was very thoughtful and having full knowledge of the area. It was lovely to work with someone who has passion for the people, the land and all the beauties. The picnic at the salt flats was one of the highlights of the trip. I had no idea how Elmer handled driving with ease. There was no roads or signs. I didn’t see GPS. Obviously he knows every peak around or all the tracks. I do love Bolivia which still offers special Andes flavors. And I hope Bolivia develops slowly and maintains its tradition.

5.00My wife and I went on a guided trip with Banjo tours in Apr 2025 to the Uyuni Salt flats in Bolivia. Everything was handled before hand by the company and at no point did we feel like we had any doubts/concerns on any part of the process. Everything from the pickup in San Pedro De Atacama to the border crossing, the immigration process/paperwork, the hotels and meals to the Salt flats trip was handled very well by our driver Cesar. I would 100% recommend anybody thinking of taking this trip from San Pedro De Atacama to go with Banjo tours. They have this itinerary down to perfection and you will have a great time on this trip! The one tip i would share is to get acclimated to the elevation since you will not have a fun time if you feel light headed on most of the trip.
The most fabulous salt flats trip you could imagine!

5.00This tour was the highlight of our trip to South America. Renan, our guide spoke excellent English, was knowledgeable on all aspects of history, archaeology, flora and fauna and explained everything so well, he was perfect! Zenon our driver was fabulous and a very careful driver. He would stop immediately any time we wanted to take photos and set up some lovely lunches on the salt flats and other places. We went for the 'plus' option which meant we stayed in some fabulous places. The Palacio de Sal was out of this world. Certainly worth the extra. There were so many personal touches to make our trip special, it is always something we will remember. Thank you Renan, Zenon and Benjamin who organised it all. Book a trip with these people, you will not regret it!
