Boom Chicago is the best night out in Amsterdam! For 32 years, their comedy shows (in English) have been making locals and visitors laugh in their comedy temple with three theaters in the city center.
Boom hosts visiting comedians and stand up nights, but the main event is their own comedy shows. These are a fast-paced mix of sharp writing, quick improvisation, and live music created by their main stage cast.
Many famous comedians got their start at Boom Chicago including Seth Meyers, Jordan Peele, Ike Barinholtz, Amber Ruffin, Kay Cannon the creators and stars of Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis, Brendan Hunt and Joe Kelly). Best of all, the next generation of comedy is onstage tonight!
Now it's your turn to enjoy a big night at Boom Chicago. Sit at tables with your friends while you order from a full bar with great drinks including interesting beers, fantastic wine from Grape District and delicious mixed cocktails. Soon it will be showtime. Get ready to laugh!

5.00Booked the show solo after a change of plans and googling comedy shows around. Had no idea of the famous alumni, owners and was amazed this exists in Europe!! SNL is one of my favorite shows although I’m from Finland. Each actor had their own personalities shining through bright and they worked together amazingly. Laughed out loud through the show and can’t wait to be back. Thanks for saving my last night in Amsterdam, world class performances ❤️

1.00We always tried to go to a show when in Amsterdam and recommended it to everyone. Not anymore! For us, cursing does not create comedy. Also it seemed one girl used the show to scream her hate for America and the president. We didn't take 6 of our friends to hear her curse about her political views.

5.00If you are looking for a laugh, I would strongly recommend going to this. It is improv comedy at its finest with just a bit of audience input that makes it even funnier because you were “part of the joke”. What I most appreciated was the callbacks to previous segment topics and it felt like a running joke we were in on. I am glad we went because I was laughing all the time, even in some more difficult to improv parts and by the end of it I was laughing uncontrollably. If you have time, just go!

2.00Visited the Stand-up comedy as per recommendation of some friends but unfortunately was not our taste of humour. Nothing against the artists but we have not laugh with the jokes and the entertainment provided to us. There are better things to do in Amsterdam in my opinion.

3.00Excellent venue and potential for a good show. However, the night we saw it we thought the comedy was hit out miss. It was like they were trying hard but often not quite hitting the mark. Might have gotten better after the intermission, but we left then and didn't see the remainder of the show.

4.00Roughly two hours show held in one of the upper floors of the building. The act is one host and three other performers doing Stand Up. My wife and I really enjoyed. Perhaps the only mild complaint was the room was cold and drinks were only served at the bar (located on the main floor), as supposed to served to your seat. Otherwise, the entertainment and music was great.

5.00Absolutely hilarious! The show was great. The staff was over the top friendly and accommodating. We showed up with our 5 year old not realizing the show was more for adults- they still made it fun for him! We had a blast. Highly recommend.

1.00The M.C. used the phone number we used to buy our tickets during the show and phoned our private number as part of his act(he phoned our personal number broadcasting the phone call over the large speakers for everyone to hear). It was a serious breach of security and privacy. Unacceptable and I would’ve filed a police report if I had had more time.
