The heart of the Museum experience, Campaigns of Courage: European and Pacific Theaters brings visitors inside the story of how the war was won. Two immersive exhibitions—Road to Berlin: European Theater Galleries and Road to Tokyo: Pacific Theater Galleries—feature environmental exhibits that guide visitors chronologically through the narrative of each theater of combat, using a sophisticated mix of set design, narrated and environmental videos, period newsreels, interactive oral-history kiosks, personal and digital artifacts, and dynamic displays for a uniquely evocative experience. How long you spend inside the museum is up to you! If you are hungry or simply want a break from exploring the exhibits, visit the on-site American Sector Restaurant + Bar and take a step back in time in BB’s Stage Door Canteen, a 1940s-style entertainment venue that showcases the music and performers of the war years. 5.00This museum was exceedingly well done. We got through the exhibits on the war in Europe and the War in the Pacific, but didn't make it to see the airplanes. It was well organized, thoughtfully made, and housed in an incredible architecture. We also had a nice lunch in the restaurant. There were a few volunteers around, but it was designed to be self paced.

5.00History truly comes to life at this museum, where five different buildings are meticulously decorated to reflect specific historical periods. Each space is packed with immersive exhibits, videos, and oral histories. I highly recommend purchasing tickets online in advance to bypass the long queues at the entrance. Be aware that Saturday afternoons can be extremely crowded. During my visit, the slow-moving crowds made it difficult to view exhibits closely without a long wait. In an effort to see everything, I initially rushed through and skipped the videos, planning to watch them later. Unfortunately, by the time I returned, the museum had begun its closing procedures—the videos were shut off, and an announcement informed us that both the galleries and gift shop were closed. As a result, I missed out on buying a souvenir. For the best experience, arrive early to ensure you have enough time for both the media presentations and the gift shop.

5.00This was our 4th visit to the World War II museum. Each visit we find more and more information. The museum is vast, so it is emotionally and physically difficult to see it all in one day. The special exhibit on Deviant Art is a must see to give insight into the world view that created WWII. It mirrors rhetoric we are hearing very loudly today. We must never forget.

5.00We have been to the museum several times. This time we took the museum Highlights tour with Mike. It was amazing. Guide super knowledgeable and entertaining. Learned a lot about obscure items on display. Definitely worth the extra $ on top of the ticket price.

5.00Great experience. The museum is massive and filled with a huge amount of information covering all aspects of the war. The exhibits are well laid out and very informative, making it easy to spend several hours there. A must visit if you are interested in history or want a deeper understanding of World War II.

5.00We spent three hours at the museum and barely scratched the surface. You can easily spend 20 hours here and still not enjoy your see everything. The movie they present is good, but if you’re World War II Above, I would skip it and spend the time in all the various theaters. The museum covers.
Great museum. We shall return.

5.00This is a great museum. We spent three hours there and covered the European Theater. We ran out of time and were only able to do a cursory view of the Pacific Theater. We shall return to finish. Go if you are a museum fan or just curious about WWII.

5.00No one should miss the heart wrenching history of hate and greed that destroyed so many lives, hopes and dreams across the world. And yet, at the same time, brought forth extraordinary bravery, ingenuity, passion and love for humanity. We must know our history to recognize ourselves.
