Junko was knowledgeable about her own neighborhood of Yanaka. She explained the temples, cemetary and local buildings really well. Despite the rain, I had a great time!

This tour was a fantastic way to learn about old Tokyo. A much nicer experience than the usual tourist hot spots. The guide was fantastic. I also did the ‘darker side of Tokyo’ with her and that was also fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

This is an unexpected side of Tokyo, a stark contrast to Ginza and Omotesando, for example. It reminds me of small provincial towns in Japan that can be very charming.

Fantastic experience with Yoshie! We learned so much about Japanese religion and religious customs. Yanaka is a lovely, quiet area and it was a nice break from the busier areas of Tokyo.

Glad I got to see this interesting and authentic neighborhood. Guide was pleasant and knowledgeable but seemed disorganized—I suspect she may have been called in last minute because group was split into two because there were a lot of people and a second guide was needed. Tour was too long. I would cut out one stop. Was glad for the rest stop where we could get tea or beer, as it was a hot day. Would like to have had more time to explore Yanaka Ginza, which looked fascinating.

Poor directions could not find the meeting location. Arrived in the area 45 minutes early and even the locals couldn’t help us. Refused refund when requested
