Friendly and informative tour of Tokyo

5.00Our guide Yusuke met us promptly in the lobby of our Shinjuku hotel. He gave us a brief history of the samurai and modern eras of Japan, which helped us to historically situate ourselves as we toured with him. We went first to Shinjuku Gyoen gardens, where we saw many cherry blossoms, azaleas, wisteria, and other flowers. Next, we took the train to Asakusa and visited the famous shopping streets where Yusuke recommended various treats and helped us to order them. We visited the Senso-ji temple. Next, we took the train to the Imperial Palace grounds where Yusuke explained the history of the current royal family and pointed out well known photo sites. He also explained the significance of the placement of gates as defenses against enemy intruders. We finished by walking to the Tokyo Station, where are after 6 hours we said goodbye to our helpful and knowledgeable guide. Thank you, Yusuke, for a delightful day of touring Tokyo.

5.00Mia was an excellent guide. She was a perfect ambassador for our first day in Japan. She met us at our hotel and had customized our day to compliment the tour we began in two days. We appreciated her teaching us the metro as her knowledge and activities helped take an overwhelming Tokyo city to very approachable and welcoming. The four of us all felt that she provided excellent value for our cost. Highly recommend!!

5.00We were a group of 8- 2 families- mix of kids and adults and had a great time! It was lots and lots of walking but it was such a great thing to do on our first full day in Tokyo to get acquainted with this amazing city! Our guide Yoshii was friendly and professional and moved at our pace, and with kids in tow, there were sometimes quite a few stops! Thanks for a great day!

5.00you are in good hands with this kind, conscientious tour guide. he came to our hotel the day before in person to deliver our itinerary by hand. than showed up promptly to start our custom tour the next day. he's very knowledgeable, and proud of his country and we learned so much in our day with him.
