Thunderstorm in Tokyo.

4.00It was a great tour until it was cut short by a violent thunderstorm. The morning was excellent with sunny weather. Our guide/driver, Caffrey was very accommodating and guided us to the sites at Akakusa Temple, Skytree, fish market. We were on our way to the Imperial Palace when the sky opened up with lightening, thunder and heavy rain. Good thing we were in the car. We then decided to go to the National Museum. Caffrey did his best to get around in the heavy Tokyo traffic but around 4 pm, we gave up and decided to go back to the hotel. Caffrey was great getting us back safe and sound and DRY.

5.00Our tour guide- Caffrey was/is outstanding! He was punctual, responsive and helped us navigate and see all the sites we could pack into our quick 7hr layover in Tokyo. He is a great photographer too, and made a great suggestion for delicious sushi. Thank you!

5.00It is a great way to get a glimpse of the city when you only have one day. A lot depends on the driver. Our driver Bob was fantastic, he went above and beyond to make our ambitious itinerary happen.

5.00Although Viator had sold us a tour in Spanish, in the end they told us it wasn’t possible and that it would have to be in English, despite it being clearly stated in our booking. Nevertheless, the driver, who was Brazilian, was delightful and managed to communicate with us using a mix of Portuguese, Spanish, and English. Fabulous. He also helped us take many amazing photos and was very kind. A ten out of ten
