All drivers are required to get a hardcopy paper booklet of your 1949 Geneva Convention International Driving Permit (IDP) issued by the Official agency in your country. (AAA, AA, CAA, ATCUAE, et al.)

For driving licenses issued from France, Switzerland, Taiwan, Germany, Monaco, and Belgium, you need a JAPANESE TRANSLATION of your local license. You can obtain the physical copy from JAF office (Japan Automobile Federation).

1968 Vienna Convention, IDA, IAA or any other permits acquired online are NOT RECOGNIZED by Japan.

Online copy or any digital copy of your permits are NOT valid.

Driving permits from Indonesia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, Kuwait, Qatar, and some countries are NOT ALLOWED to drive in Japan, please check if your country issues the 1949 Geneva Convention Permits.

Please obtain your permits before leaving your country.

AMAZING. No other words needed to describe this. Highly recommended and a definite "DO NOT MISS" experience. The guides were brilliant, and the go karts exceptional. I hope to return and do it all again.

Great time and drove past a lot of great sight. We booked the last time of the day which was ideal since we caught a bit of the sunset. The tour guides were great and made it easy to navigate through the streets. Definitely going again in my next trip to Tokyo.

Monkey Karts was an amazing way to experience Tokyo. Their attention to safety was greatly appreciated while driving through the Toto traffic. Great way to see the different neighborhoods and districts in the city. The guides were above & beyond in their attention to safety and keeping the it fun for all of us on the tour. Would definitely recommend and would do it again. Thank you!

An exhilarating experience for teenage drivers and adults. Actually on city streets being safely directed through traffic. Especially at night seeing the sky tower, temples light up was eye opening. Was our first time in Japan. This was the best activity to end our trip.

Such a fun experience! We had a fantastic tour guide that was very knowledgeable and gave us great tips on where we can go enjoy ourselves. The route was cool and the guide was VERY careful to get us around safely! I highly recommend!!!
