Really nice people running it. Not one of whom was the Japanese master we were expecting. There was abot 2 minutes of instruction and there were 15 or 20 other people there. No practice was allowed. They run you through like factory workers. They have upcharges for different woods, and the other choices were ridiculously expensive. Would have been fine if they let you practice one with the free wood blanks. Imagine ¥7000 for two chopsticks. Seriously. ¥1500 for laser engraving. How about stamps and paint?Nope. You screw it up, too bad, your time is up. Sharp contast to our pottery class, where we got lots on instruction and guidance from an old world master.

I was a little sceptical but we had a lot of fun, the instructors were very encouraging and although a reasonably simple process, still a little tricky to get right Only negatives were that they try to upsell you to different types of wood, ¥2000-10000 seemed a little steep for the offering, and then upsold again to have it engraved at the end We just used the included wood and have a great time anyway

My clumsy fingers surprised me by creating something actually elegant. The staff celebrated every small victory along the way. Their genuine excitement made me feel like a real artisan. Confidence boost lasted days afterward.

Chose the free wood thinking cheaper meant lower quality. Wrong assumption completely! The wood worked beautifully and smelled divine. Staff emphasized that skill matters more than expensive materials. Lesson learned there.
