Our teacher was charming, helpful, and knowledgeable. This Tea ceremony includes all the usual aspects, dress/picture, traditional sweet, and of course including watching, then being led in our own traditional tea prep. My wife and I enjoyed the activity and our interactions w/ our teacher who was very pleasant and friendly. It was a Leisurely pace, no problems communicating. NOTE: It is helpful to follow the viator direction instruction. I t is upstairs in building across from a tasty salt bread bakery, only short stroll from a metro station. Additionally, this ceremony/training was not held in a traditional tea house but had the advantage of being from a school of tea ceremony that was adapted to to the use of table and chairs (a life saver to someone like myself w/ a knee injury)

We had a wonderful time learning about each step of a formal tea ceremony, its history, and meaning in every movement made. Our host was wonderful and helpful, and was so supportive of learning moments. We were participants in her group ceremony first, and then learned how to make matcha ourselves afterwards, all while wearing beautiful kimono. Would absolutely recommend for the sweet, relaxed experience!

Do yourself a favor and book this experience! The host was so genuine and truly wanted to enjoy the tea ceremony with each of us. It was beyond a tea ceremony: it transported us back to ancient customs and values. Got to wear a full kimono, and they had props for photos. This experience was eye opening and spiritual. Thank you!

The hosts were so nice! We went through a traditional tea ceremony first and then made our own matcha the traditional way. All while wearing kimonos! It took about 2 hours, and was so much fun!

We went with our son, daughter and her boyfriend. They dressed us in kimonos and yukatas. The host was an amazing woman who explained the history of tea ceremonies and demonstrated exactly how to do and say everything that should be done during a formal ceremony. Everyone who worked there was very friendly and professional. Afterwards, we bought some matcha and tea sets, because we knew it would be quality matcha. We had the most amazing experience and would highly recommend it!
