A typical cooking class is where you learn recipes and eat together, but our class also focuses on the "fun" aspect. We place emphasis on cooking while having fun with an experienced instructor. As the name of the class suggests, it is Cook, Taste and Enjoy Osaka.
We use seasonal ingredients from each season of Japan. We directly purchase carefully selected Koshihikari rice from a contracted farmer in Minamiuonuma City, Niigata Prefecture, known as one of the leading rice-producing areas in Japan, to provide the highest quality rice.
Please choose from Course A or Course B. Both courses involve making two dishes together. Course A features sukiyaki, tempura, and rolled omelet. Course B features wagyu roast beef bowl, chicken nanban, and sashimi. Please choose Course A or Course B when making a reservation. The course lasts about two hours.
Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller

The location is super convenient to lots of hotels and attractions. The entrance is a little difficult to find but they met me on the street and showed me the way. The hosts were super friendly and eager to make it an enjoyable experience. There was a lot more food than expected and it was tasty, especially the beef sukiyaki. The process and ingredients were explained along the way and they answered all the questions I had. The lady who played the shamisen was very talented and it was interesting to see a cultural element alongside the cooking.

What a fabulous experience! The host was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to with great English, and the chef was very skilled, helpful, and kind. With the chef's guidance, we made a wagyu beef rice bowl and chicken nanban. She then wowed us with her ability to prepare mackerel sashimi, and we then got to eat all of the dishes along with extra sides, all while listening to a powerful shamisen performance! We were even given the recipes in English to try making the meals at home. I would definitely recommend!

We had such a great experience learning to cook delicious transitional Japanese food! The chef was very skilled, and the host was so friendly. We cooked Wagyu beef, which we then ate on top of a delicious bowl of rice. Then, we watched as the skilled chef prepared Horse Mackerel sashimi. She showed us how to prepare the fish from start to finish. Finally, we made Chicken Nanban. All the ingredients were fresh and delicious. After we finished cooking we were able to sit down and enjoy our food with miso soup, fruit and more! During our meal, we watched a traditional shamisen player perform. We were also able to take home the recipes so we could recreate the recipes at home. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to learn to cook Japanese food and those who just want to have a fun experience!

We had a fantastic experience here with the opportunity to cook some delicious Japanese dishes using top quality ingredients - from Wagyu beef to fresh sashimi grade Mackerel. The hosts were super helpful showing us how to prepare a number of dishes and then helping us prepare our own. Which we got to each and were so good! We even got to take the recipes so we can try them again back at home. Great way to fit a fun activity around Lunch and learn something new. Loads of fun, good English and great value!

Me and my brother went looking for a unique cultural experience we could do together and came across Cook, Taste, and Enjoy Osaka. We were a little skeptical on doing it, but soon felt glad we did. We learned how to cook and prepare some Japanese-style dishes and enjoyed a private show from an amazing performer! She played several beautiful and intricate songs with her traditional Japanese instrument, the Shamisen, while dressed in a Kimono! The English translator Yasu was incredibly good and made it feel like we had been friends for a long time. And the chef Hinata was very talented and taught us how to prepare many delicious dishes. It was a perfect way to experience and learn about Japanese culture in a unique way while making it feel very personal. I highly recommend this as not only a way to learn how to make some tasty Japanese treats, but also for directly experiencing and learning about Japanese culture firsthand!

This was a perfect experience to really delve into Japanese culture on all fronts. My brother and I learned together how to prepare several dishes with the main course consisting of a beautiful and absolute delectable cut of Wagyu beef that came from the Mie Prefecture. The sauce that Hinata (the chef walking us through the processes) showed us how to prepare was so tasty and made the beef even better. We even got to see Hinata filet the Tai (sea bream) sashimi into beautifully cut pieces for us. We also learned how to make a very uniquely seasoned fried chicken. Chef Hinata was extremely talented and professional. While, I was a bit worried about the ability to communicate, that nervousness soon fled when we met our translator for the evening, Yasu! He had perfect English and was a very outgoing person, so it was easy to talk to him. As we were about finished eating the food we prepared together, we had this incredible performance from Keiko! She played for us some elegant songs on the Japanese string instrument "Shamisen." She was stunningly good. It definitely made me want to go see more traditional musical performances! Overall it was a phenomenal, once in a life time experience to enjoy Japanese culture. While it may have been a tad pricey, you should overlook that because it is definitely worth the money to be able to enjoy a different culture in such a way! We had a blast!

This was a highlight of our stay in Osaka. We were able to enjoy traditional Japanese cooking, songs and instrument in 2.5hours. We really had a great time. Enjoyed the performance: The performer, Keiko, was right in front of us dressed in Kimono. She was amazing and beautiful. It’s okay to take a video. Enjoyed cooking: One of my favorite food, Sukiyaki was great. The Blended rice was new to me, it was very interesting and tasty. So next time I visit, I’ll definitely take the Onigiri class. Additional note: Very easy to access. We went shopping to Shinsaibashi after this class. A great way to spend time in Osaka. Definitely recommend this class to others !
