Our restaurant has been an institution since 2004, with locations in Cat Ba, Hanoi and Hoian. Head Chef Hai Nguyen is renowned throughout Vietnam for his creative and modern approach to traditional dishes.

At our cooking school, students learn from the best; not just traditional recipes, but also tips and tricks for preparing food in your home kitchen.

All of this in our heritage-listed building in the heart of the ancient town!

Choose from five different five-course menus, each representing a unique aspect of Vietnamese cuisine and culture (The Essentials, Balancing Act, Street Eats, Hanoi Streets, and Veggie Eats). All our classes are held in our cooking school; a 180-year-old heritage listed building in the heart of the old town. Each class includes a digital recipe book and a sit-down meal to enjoy your prepared items. Visits to our local market are an optional add-on. SPRINT! Don’t walk! To this absolutely stunning cooking class - we didn’t really know what we were walking into as it was the first cooking class we had ever been to, but my god were we impressed! The food was spectacular, the ambiance timeless, and our chef-guide (Jam) charming and knowledgable. We were initially dubious as to whether a cooking class is worth the money they are asking for, but let us tell you it absolutely is! Would go back in a heartbeat and recommend this experience to anyone local in the area who loves good food and a fun time!

Jam was a friendly and engaging teacher. We really enjoyed the market tour, cooking and then dining on our preparations. Highly recommended
