On this tour, we give you a taste of every part of Lewis and Harris’ unique personality. Your guide explores the Viking past, takes you to traditional bodes, and helps you settle in at the famous port of Stornoway.

Luggage Allowance: You're restricted to 14kg (31lbs) of luggage per person on our tours. This should be one piece of luggage similar to an airline carry-on bag (approximately 55cm x 45cm x 25cm / 22in x 17in x 10in) plus a small bag for onboard personal items.
Booking three or more people? We can accommodate up to 8 guests in a group, please add each required room to your basket separately. To ensure that bookings for passengers traveling together are not separated, please inform us if you have multiple bookings.
Please note: you will be required to choose between either a 3-star bed and breakfast or 3-star hotel at time of booking
*We're sorry but due to the re-development of Calanais Standing Stones for preservation of the site, we will not be able to visit this location until Spring 2026. Instead, we will spend extra time exploring the beaches on the west of the island. We apologise for the inconvenience.

You don’t waste time on this tour. You get up early, travel straight from Inverness to Ullapool, and catch your ferry to the islands. This stunning sea trip takes you along Loch Broom, past the Summer Isles, and out to Stornoway; the capital of the Outer Hebrides.
The Blackhouse, Arnol
Once you’ve arrived on Lewis, your first stop is the ancient past. You travel to the North West of the island and get the chance to visit the ‘blackhouse’ at Arnol*. Dive into this traditional abode and discover how the Highland crofting families lived their day-to-day lives.
Butt of Lewis Lighthouse
After this, you go through more crofting communities and venture to the northernmost tip of the island, the Butt of Lewis. The lighthouse here boasts epic views of waves crashing against sea cliffs. It’s now time to head back to Stornoway for your overnight stay.

Isle of Harris
The first thing you notice about Harris are the mountains. And as you weave through the towering marvels, your guide will tell you about the traditions and tales of this part of Scotland. There’s not many towns around here; but after you’ve had your fill of unspoilt beaches and landscapes, you stop in a small town for lunch.
Luskentyre
Now it’s time for one of the great Hebridean highlights, Luskentyre beach. On a good day, the sea turns turquoise and the sands look pristine white. Walk along this phenomenal beach and feel like you’re in the Scottish Maldives.
Carloway Broch - Stornoway - Inverness
Carloway Broch
Perched on a hillside overlooking the Isle of Lewis, this Iron Age broch has stood for nearly 2,000 years, a testament to the skill and resilience of its builders. As you walk through its stone passageways and gaze across the sweeping landscape, you can almost hear the echoes of past inhabitants who sought shelter and community within its walls.
Stornoway
You leave the echoes of the past and explore the far west of Lewis; this part boasts some areas of outstanding natural beauty. Your driver-guide ensures you take a unique route that suits the weather and your group's interests. After an eventful morning, you travel to Stornoway and get a ferry to the mainland.
The Minch
Cast your last glance at the island, and ponder over its rich Gaelic heritage as you make your way across the Minch. Once on the mainland, you continue to Inverness, where you arrive in the evening.

5.00My Bucket List trip to the Outer Hebrides - Isle of Harris and Lewis was made very special by Rabbies with the extraordinaire Helen who was so kind, jovial, empathetic and helpful!! Helen is one of the nicest person I've ever met. Helen historical and cultural knowledge is remarkable and you could trust her with your life as those roads were very challenging. We visited lots of interesting places and landmarks. Even what seemed unimpressive Helen sold it to you effortless. All of this made this trip enjoyable and it was lovely travelling with some very lovely people too! I came away with lots of knowledge and rare experiences. I hugely recommend this trip to everyone. Thank you Helen and Rabbies!!!

5.00Liam was an amazing driver and tour guide. His relaxed demeanor and thoughtful explanations, beautifully complemented the natural beauty of green mossy grass, interrupted by either boulders, the sea, sandy beaches, lakes or tributaries. Mother nature on full display. Lewis and Harris Isles are a must see on your Scotland vacation.

4.00I loved this trip but the guide made a point of telling us how his family all had the flu and he was probably to get sick but he nobly would still take the tour. He did get sick and then made my husband so ill that it ruined the next week of our holiday

4.00The positives: the organization, the timing was respected, the choice of bed and breakfast made by the organizer was top. The negatives: anecdotes, sometimes redundant, stops not necessarily necessary and others put aside (because it seems that the company with which we traveled did not agree with some places, yet very touristic and requested...) The quality of this type of tour often depends on the group you fall into. If the group is not open to exchanges, it creates a special Mood. In conclusion: Lewis and Harris deserve the stay. Very good Price quality ratio.

5.00we spent 4 days for us i wish it was longer, so much to see and do, dpends on your interests, we are both photoghters, as normla take more then enough photos, get a guide book to find all these missing places, we went in a car we can get where larger other motors cant
