This tour was fantastic. In a short and very comfortable three days, we covered a lot - the Great Wall, Summer Palace, etc. My guide, Albert Liu, was very knowledgeable, especially about the Ming era. He made the places come to life with anecdotes, and I was quite impressed with his storytelling ability, especially his use of mini-cliffhangers. For example, he started to give me some background of a place, raised a question about it, and then said, You will learn more about the answer to that question at the next site we see. Or, he mentioned a historical figure and gave some background, and said, What kind of a person do you think this empress was? You'll find out more at the next site, and you can decide. A on engagement.

I was especially interested in what it is like to live in China today. Albert kindly shared some of his family background to let me have a sense of everyday life, even outside the city. He was also more than happy to accommodate my requests. For example, I wanted to see what it might be like to do Chinese acupuncture, so we skipped the zoo my choice and he made arrangements for acupuncture the following day.

All in all, I can't recommend this tour highly enough, and if you have a chance to go with Albert, I would suggest you jump at the chance.

My wife and I had a great experience touring Beijing and the Great Wall of China. Susan did a fantastic job explaining all the places we visited. Susan's made sure we never felt pressure to move on to the next site before we were satisfied answering our questions. I would recommend Susan to anyone!

Excellent tour, we visited all the important sights in Beijing.The bus was new and properly air conditioned. The guide (Becky) was really nice and attentive to our family needs. During the long transfers we would have liked to hear more (where we were moved,etc) from the guide. Recommended!

Wish I could rate this a 20. This tour was the highlight of all 12 tours we took. Our guide Roy and driver Kai were wonderful. The guide spoke perfect English. He helped me pull myself up the steps to be able to stand on the Great Wall. This was a thrill of a lifetime to stand up there, pictures cannot come close. The tour was so comprehensive and so full of history. Of all the places we went this is the only one I would like to go back and do again.
