Once you take the ferry over to Alcatraz Island and you are dropped off, you will make your way up to the main prison building, where you receive an audio headset, and the audio tour will guide you through the Alcatraz Prison. Once the audio tour is over, you can continue taking pictures and exploring the Island, or you can walk back down to the ferry landing and hop on the next ferry headed back to San Francisco. The Alcatraz tour typically takes 2-3 hours to enjoy.

5.00My son wanted to visit the island because of Call of Duty and me because of the history. Seeing his face of amazement and happiness throughout the 2.5 hour walk was pure joy! For me, seeing and being in such a historical place was nothing short of amazing, The audio tour was definitely an added trear to appreciate thr history. We also did Golden Gate Bridge tour and was the seal lion which made the weekend even better! I would say this was a perfect dad and son weekend.
