Arrived at the planned meet up 15 mins prior, to rest, as we knew it would be a heavy walking day. It was easy to spot the guide with the branded umbrella as stated. We had brief introduction to how the day would unfold, and shortly after so we went. Our guide was very thorough, informative with humor, and allows plenty of time ( my opinion) to understand what we were looking at, as well as time to just enjoy being there. We toured the alcazar first and had a great overview of history, with additional questions allowed to add to the discussion. A small break to wander, then off to the cathedral. All major and interesting historical features highlighted. Happy tourist 😃👏

Jose, with his PhD in history, wove a wonderful narrative about the historical context of everything we were seeing. We only scratched the surface of the stories of the Alcazar and the Cathedral, but were mesmerized. The tour will drive us to learn more on our own.

Bad customer service as I accidentally booked a tour for the next day. I IMMEDIATELY contacted both Viator and the tour agency and neither would switch the date of the tour. I understand that it was my mistake but I was not asking for a refund - just a change in your date. Instead, I paid for a tour for four and we were not even in the country.

The three sites included in the tour are amazing. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the history and iconography of the structures. He presented the information with enthusiasm and humor. Because of the information he wanted to share, he spoke very quickly, so it was a bit difficult to understand him sometimes. Regardless, I learned a great deal and appreciate how thorough he was, given the time constraints. You must have your ID with you for admission (passport or driver’s license with photo). Bags and backpacks are scanned or searched. Wear sturdy shoes.

Excellent guide for the trip and he is PHD also I believe in history . Great knowledge and experience we also skipped the line so everything worked out really great
The tour guide really knows his subject matter! But with the large group, i feel he spend too much time Giving info.

It was a good tour. If you love history , this is for you. If you will get bored of too much information, and just want to enjoy the scenery, pictures and architectural design without giving much emphasis of the subject matter of what you are seeing , definitely, not for you. You will have a museum fatigue for a while. Our tour tour guide is excellent of explaining the history of alcazar and cathedral and Giving a lot of information about it. Learned a lot from him.

Sam was one of my favorite tour guides I’ve ever had. Yes, he was very knowledgeable and had a clear passion for the history, but he was also hilarious. He was a compelling storyteller through wit and humor, and he was highly engaging to listen to.

Avoid Oway Tours - Find another tour group

Oway Tours should be avoided at all costs. They moved the tour forward a half hour via text but confirmations via email the day before and day of both confirmed the original time. This caused us to get a call at the new time that they were starting. We arrived within 6 minutes and us, along with at least 4 other people were all left behind. We were able to meet up with the group later where the guide said they waited until 15 minutes, but based on none of the missing people finding the guide, we know this to be untrue. I called several times to find out where they were and was dismissed and customer support was unhelpful.

Informative. Guide was knowledgeable but spent a lot of time on Art History vs historical information of the buildings and cultural transitions. We left the tour in the palace due to lengthy time spent on paintings vs exploring the building and grounds.
