We traveled a great distance (24 hrs flying) to visit the Alhambra. Despite numerous emails confirming the tour details, the morning of our tour, we learned the operator did not secure the requested number of tickets so my husband was unable to go inside. All in all, a very disappointing experience. Better to skip the guided tours, book the self-paced tour, and audio guide instead. Use only the official Alhambra website to book your tickets. You will be less rushed and can enjoy the sights. This is the only destination I’ve traveled to that requires many weeks/months advance so plan accordingly.

Tour was scheduled for 9am. Tour operator sent a message at 4am, 5 gotta prior that they couldn't obtain tickets. This, after sending me 3 emails confirming everything and charging my credit card. Horrible
