  This review is completely separate from the tour guide that we had, Emilio, who really made up for the fact that the company cancelled the Nasrid Palaces with notice only given a day before the actual tour. If you want to visit the Nasrid Palaces, don’t book with this company if you want to be certain of getting in, but rather buy the tickets two months ahead of time either on the official website or with a different company that doesent seem to have a pattern of sending last minute messages with disappointing news. While we are to receive a partial refund, the Nasrid Palaces are still open which leads me to believe the company does not have a good system with the purchasing of tickets. Again if it wasn’t for this companies inability to secure tickets to the palace, this would be a five star because Emilio was absolutely incredible (informative and engaging). Again, DONT book this tour if you want to secure Nasrid palace tickets as well

• Absolutely Appalling – Avoid at All Costs!

  My wife and I booked and paid €49 per person specifically for a guided tour including access to the Nasrid Palaces. This was the central and essential element of the service advertised and sold. We travelled internationally to Spain and onward to Granada for the express purpose of participating in this tour. Upon arrival, we were informed at extremely short notice, at 23:30 the night before, that the palace tickets had not been secured. Instead, we were handed general tickets worth €12.73 Furthermore, we have now learned that this has happened repeatedly across your tours this week, which clearly demonstrates this was not an isolated error but a systemic failure. It is evident that your company was aware that tickets had not been secured and failed to inform customers in a timely manner, allowing us to incur travel expenses under false pretences. The company fails to respond to phone calls, and becomes incommunicado. They are a scam company, avoid!

  As of 2026, I don't recommend this Tour provider at all. We had booked a full Alhambra experience tour including Nasrid Palaces months ago, and we're given a barcode voucher which stated all including with a guide. At midnight before the tour we received a text per Whatsapp to inform us that visiting the main element of the tour, I.e. Nasrid Palaces was not to be included. The tour provider refused to respond to our calls and messages. We turned up at the meeting point the following morning and found out that eveeyone else who had booked the tour with Viarturnum was treated the same. On further investigation we realised that this was happening all week, and on reading past reviews that it has been an ongoing issue. We were given 12 Euro tickets for the day for the most basic tour of Alhambra, whereas everyone on the tour had paid ca. 50 Euro per person for the full experience months in advance. The response from the company was very weak, not acknowledging that they sold tickets they never had to sell. We are still waiting for a refund. Our tour guide did his best to stretch the tour through the gardens and make the most of it, but the whole group went away with having missed out on the actual Alhambra, the main reason for the visit. I will not recommend the company at all, and reading review too late, this has apparently being happening since more than a year.

• Beautiful Alhambra

  Alhambra itself was a wonderful place to visit but the company we booked was very unprofessional. We paid for Alhambra, general life and the Nasrid palace but they cancelled the Nasrid palace with a WhatsApp text at 2300 pm the night before. We had to book an Uber just to be in time specially for Nasrid palace which they overbooked and cancelled ours. Outrageous. But it felt as breathtaking beauty, looking at city of Granada from Alhambra. Absolutely recommend but please plan early and get tickets from there official site as they sold out months ahead.

  The Alhambra palace was excellent, however our guide was very disappointing. He did not even introduce himself, so I don't know his name. His English was very poor and did not speak clearly or explain concepts well. He also finished 15 min early. No comparison to another tour we had recently where the price was dependent on the quality of the tour.

  We had a very good conducted tour (conducted through Viaternum Tours). Emilio explained things very well. The one thing that people booking these tours should be aware of is that the time slot for the Nasrid Palace is known quite late (through Whatsapp) and they need to keep adequate flexibility for the day.

  Via Tiqets the tour with guide arranged. Got a whatsapp message from Viaternum Tours the night before the tour around midnight that the tour could not go ahead because they had made a mistake filling in the personals. A familiar excuse of this organization. Reported it to Tiqets who are available 24/7 and got a refund within 2 dgn. But unfortunately Alhambra only seen from the outside.
