Anne Frank House
The Anne Frank House (Dutch: Anne Frank Huis) is a writer's house and biographical museum dedicated to Jewish wartime diarist Anne Frank. The building is located on a canal called the Prinsengracht, close to the Westerkerk, in central Amsterdam in the Netherlands. During World War II, Anne Frank hid from Nazi persecution with her family and four other people in hidden rooms at the rear of the 17th-century canal house, known as the Secret Annex (Dutch: Achterhuis). She did not survive the war but her wartime diary was published in 1947. Ten years later the Anne Frank Foundation was established to protect the property from developers who wanted to demolish the block

5.00The canal tour showed Amsterdam off to its best. The captain was informative and friendly and provided interesting tidbits about the city. I thoroughly recommend this tour.

4.00The boat itself was fun and comfortable, and the captain was polite, but a bit boring and compared to the other captain I had three years ago, he could have given some additional amusing/interesting facts that would’ve provided some smiles and laughter. Perhaps it was the location in the canal that just wasn’t that interesting. This Canal trip was out of the Anne Frank house. You may be better off, selecting a different location.

1.00No canal boats could leave from the departure point because of the Pride Parade in the canal. Viator should have known not to schedule a trip on that date and time. How do we get a refund?

4.00Great cruising through the canals, just wished there was a live guide onboard who explained about the buildings we were passing. It was difficult to hear the taped recording.
