A tape is played containing a narration about the artworks. Hardly understandable, especially when there are also couples with small children. The artworks are presented with many words and pooh-pooh, but are very disappointing. The captain didn't feel much like it and it was obvious. The smell in the toilet could not be hardened and not because someone had done a big errand there. Furthermore, the boat is old and worn. All in all, definitely not worth the money!

This was supposed to be the cherry on our sundae visit to Amsterdam. Instead it was more like the sediment from a bad bottle of wine. 1. No way to know where to line up. We had to ask other boat companies. No employee to check you in. Just a mob on the dock. 2. Only provided 2 glasses (short) of a Spanish white wine. No choices. One glass of Coke for our teen. No beer, no gluwhein, no red wine, did I mention no other choices. 3. One small tray of cheeses for 3 people. No clue what they were-one spicy, one truffle-but not Dutch. 4. No audio -except for a programmed voice that we could not hear over conversations. The trains and trams are quieter. The captain said 2-3 items of note. No interaction. 5. My teen and another slept through the tour. 6. I feel like I could have stood on a canal bridge and tossed my money into the canal for more value.

Second time taking a canal cruise , however my first time with this particular business, I must say, they were so friendly and accommodating. The whole staff was very nice and made the experience that much better. I highly recommend going outside for the best pics.

Although it is an interesting walk through the canals of Amsterdam at night, the “Festival of Lights” leaves a lot to be desired and does not fit with the advertising that they make on-line. I found few light sculptures for the tour and as you spend on the boat, there is little time to admire and enjoy them. Also in my case we were touched by a driver who collided with the edges of the canals more than I would have liked. If you’re interested in seeing the light sculptures, it may be worth taking the walking tour.

I have used. Viator many times and all of my experiences have been super exceptional for this one and it was terrible. Finding the correct boat was very difficult - I had to call for assistance. The unlimited wine included only one very small glass.

Very fascinating and interesting cruise. I didn't think I would like it but the captain gave us a lot of interesting and new information and also a city dweller's point of view; furthermore the view from the canals is truly suggestive. The planned tour is quite extensive and shows many parts of the city
