This tour begins with a ride on the Corinth Canal, which was constructed in 1893 and still used today. After crossing the canal, we drive on towards Ancient Corinth, it has been estimated that Ancient Corinth held as many as 100,000 inhabitants at one time but only about 600 ruins remain. Corinth is one of the most famous and visited cities of Greece. The city is located in the South West of the Peloponnese surrounded by mountains that take their name from the ancient town. The most renowned monuments are: The Temple of Apollo, Roman Odeon and the Archaeological Museum.

Corinth Canal
Corinth Canal, one of the most important projects and 19th century engineering masterpieces, playing a catalytic role for the Mediterranean trade. The Canal connects the Gulf of Corinth in the Ionian Sea with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland, arguably making the peninsula an island. The canal was dug through the isthmus at sea level and has no locks. It is 6.4 kilometres (4 mi) in length and only 21.4 metres (70 ft) wide at its base, making it impassable for many modern ships. It is currently of little economic importance becoming mainly a tourist attraction.

Stephanos made our last day in Greece so perfect. He really went the extra mile for us.He knew so much historical information and was very nice. The canal was amazing and Corinth was lovely. Nice museum and site. The castle was amazing and he took us up on the adjacent hill to take pictures of the beautiful view. Really a wonderful day. 5 stars

Well, worth the one hour one way drive. Ancient Corinth is amazing and the crowds were minimal, especially compared to Athens. Yannis (sp) was prompt, pleasant, and knowledgable. He went over and above to accommodate us.

Our trip to ancient Corinth couldn’t have been better. The sights and our guide’s insight made for a wonderful experience. He was patient with questions and a wonderful communicator.

The views and sites were amazing to see! Stelios is a great tour guide who is very knowledgeable about the mythologies and history of Greece. He is a great driver who helped us dive deeper into the archaelogical sites. Highly recommend.

This was the perfect tour. It was great to see the canal and the several ancient Corinth stops. Alex, our driver/guide, was extremely informative, knowledgeable and down to earth. We not only learned about the history of Greece and the areas we visited but also more about Greece today. We would book this tour again! 10/10

We booked the day trip to Old Corinth from Athens for myself, my wife, and my daughter. Our driver and guide, Alex, was absolutely amazing. This was our first of two trips with Alex as our tour guide (the second was the Thermopylae and Delphi day trip from Athens) and with each booking Alex went well above and beyond what was required. He was very very knowledgeable about the areas all along the trip to each location and the locations themselves. He was very personable, and we really enjoyed talking with him and getting to know him. He was a great driver also, which for a long trip is a plus. The vehicle was very clean and nice as well. I would highly recommend this company, this particular tour, and while I am sure all guides are equally as fantastic as Alex, I would highly recommend requesting Alex as your guide. 5 STARS.

Our driver and guide Nikos, was prompt, kind, professional, engaging and wanted to be sure our experience would be the best it could be. This is our 2nd time booking this tour because we wanted our friends to enjoy this excursion and specifically requested the first driver and guide we had in 2023, that request wasn’t able to be accommodated for understandable reasons and as a result, Nikos went above and beyond in serving us. We had just as wonderful and enjoyable a time as we did the first go round, we weren’t rushed, in any way and his recommendation for a local restaurant by the water was perfect, the food was delicious. We would be happy to do this a 3rd time around, the beauty of the Corinth Canal, the hike to ancient Corinth, the lunch, and many other niceties to mention are a must while in Greece.

Our driver, Themos, was fantastic. He provided cols water and snacks in the car, had umbrellas available for the brief rain shower we experienced and had outlets for charging our phones. He narrated the trip with excellent information as we traveled from Athens to The Corinth Canal. We had time to walk the bridges as well as take time to shop at the small souvenir stands there. Because this was a private tour (just the two of us) Themos took us to the places we wanted to see and gave us the time we needed at each stop. After the canal we drove to the sight of ancient Corinth. We paid our way into the site and took a self-guided tour of both the museum and the city site. Again, Themos allowed enough time for us to enjoy this ancient city. He met us at the exit at the agreed time and then traveled to the Corinth Acropolis parking area. My wife chose to remain at the car while I hiked the strenuous climb to the top of the mountain. Again, with our return to Athens, Themos shared about the region, people, history, economy, and so forth. The tour was well worth what we paid. Very enjoyable.

I wish the guide had gone in the ruins and explained them or that the place had an audio guide. It was tough figuring out what we were looking at sometimes. It was special to see the places Paul went, and the Akokorinthos was cool with great views.
