This tour not only showcases the typical wildlife of the rainforest, but it does so from a unique location: Gatun Lake, part of the Panama Canal. The Monkey Island tour starts early in the morning, usually between 8:00 and 8:30 a.m., with direct pickup from your hotel in Panama City.

5.00What a fantastic tour! I highly recommend it. It almost got canceled due to flooding from the rains a few days before, but luckily we were able to go in the morning and saw three different kinds of monkeys, two of which joined us on board the boat for a little while. We also saw a tiny, tiny, tiny vampire, bats, an iguana, a toucan, and a baby alligator, as well as many kinds of birds.. our guide Daniel was fantastic as was the boat driver and Ivan, the van driver! our guide Daniel was very knowledgeable about all the plants and animals and the canal and the history, sang us a song, and he had some things to say about the politicians as well (don’t we all)! He was very funny and told interesting stories about the country. I loved this tour and would definitely recommend it.

5.00We traveled in a fun large bus. Our tour guide Daniel was excellent. Cheerful, knowledgeable, forthcoming. The boat ride was so pleasant. Our large group got along well. I enjoyed seeing the animals but even more enjoyed moving along the lake So peaceful.

5.00I recommend go to have fun and learn alot about the culture. I even saw tiny bats, turtle, alligator. I was looking for sloth but they were none out.
