It's a fantastic experience. Mei, the teacher, is very engaging and helpful, offering advice to help you improve. She provides valuable information and helps you understand calligraphy. Being able to take your completed exercise home as a souvenir is a great touch. The lounge where it takes place is lovely. It's very well organized. It's definitely worth it!

What a amazing experience this was. Our teacher Mei, who is studying and practicing Japanese calligraphy for many many years was so good at explaining, and so skillful at writing that just that part of the experience was worth it. Going hands on was tricky at first, but with her help it started to look like what japanese characters are supposed to look like... always with room for improvement, for sure. So I am sure we will repeat this experience on a next trip to Japan, to keep improving and learning in this great setting.

Mei was really wonderful teacher , we liked her a lot . She gave us a very calm feeling and we enjoyed the class but also the atmosphere, very peaceful. I warmly recommend the experience.

The calligraphy teacher is very knowledgeable and helpful. It’s a non-threatening class. This is a way to touch the surface of Japanese calligraphy. I hope I can learn more in the future. Practice practice practice.
