We had a fabulous tour of Athens compliments of our guide Panos!! He made the whole day enjoyable with his knowledge, stories, and love of the area. We were driven safely around all day in a very comfortable car in the busy traffic. We were able to see all the sites on our bucket list and got great photos. Thank you, Panos!!

We had a wonderful full day tour with Aristotle. It is obvious that he loves people, his job, and most of all, his home city and country. He is a lifelong resident of Athens with a university degree in history and archaeology. He picked us up at our hotel in a very clean comfortable Mercedes minivan and was attentive to our comfort and desires. We spent a full day on the tour. Aristotle‘s knowledge of the city, its history, and the historic sites was outstanding. His insider tips were interesting and helpful. He took us to a less crowded but just as a labyrinth an important changing of the guard ceremony, and explained the meaning of many of the small details and they are importance from his perspective as an actual former member of this select guard. His restaurant recommendation resulted in an absolutely delicious and extremely reasonably priced meal. The tour could not have been more enjoyable. Thank you Aristotle!

We just finished an exceptional private tour of Athens with Aristotle, and it was, without a doubt, the single best experience we could have asked for. If you want a guide who is an actual historian, an archaeologist, and a true local with incredible personal stories, book Aristotle immediately. He did far more than hit the main sites; he tailored the entire day to connect the history with the culture and architecture. Our Favorite Highlights and Discoveries: * The Acropolis & Parthenon Masterclass: We learned why the Parthenon has no straight lines and why this architectural feat is the reason it still stands. Aristotle explained the difference between the Acropolis and the Parthenon and brought the history of the Erechtheion's battle between Athena and Poseidon to life. * The "Surprise" View from Lycabettus Hill: The panoramic view from the highest point in Athens was spectacular, and we loved the mythology behind why the Acropolis wasn't built there. * The Ancient Agora & Birthplace of Philosophy: Walking the actual ground where Socrates and Plato taught was a special moment. Learning the original meaning of "demagogia" and seeing the best-preserved Temple of Hephaestus gave us a full understanding of Ancient Athenian life. * The Presidential Guard (Evzones): This was a unique, unforgettable moment. As a former Evzone himself (we even saw his official video!), Aristotle explained the powerful symbolism behind every element of the uniform—from the 400 pleats representing 400 years of occupation to the nails in the tsarouchi (shoe) that knock the ground to honor the ancestors. This was deeply moving and not something a regular tour can provide. * Hidden Gems: The drive showed us the incredible Neoclassical Athenian Trilogy, and he brought the story of Pheidippides and the original Marathon run to life at the beautiful glass statue of the runner. Aristotle's passion for his city is infectious. He is a truly gifted storyteller who uses dates and facts to weave a coherent timeline, making 25 centuries of history incredibly easy to follow. We left with a profound understanding of not just Athens, but of Greece's foundational importance to Western civilization. Do not hesitate. Aristotle is the only guide you need in Athens.

Our driver/tour guide -George- was fantastic. He was easy to communicate with, we were able to curate the exact itinerary we wanted, and George was patient and kind with us the entire way. Our ship came in early on a Sunday, and unfortunately the evening before the Athens police decided to shutdown all the main roads for a bicycling event in town that morning. Our tour was originally supposed to start at 9 am and our bags would ride along with us until the tour dropped us off at the hotel. However, this tour company made it very easy for us, they quickly jumped in action and alerted us that we would still be picked up with our luggage from the cruise port at 9 am, but then they would take us to our hotel to drop off luggage and check in. We would have some time to grab lunch and relax and then they can back at 1 pm to pick us up for our tour, once the roads were open again. It was well organized and we appreciated that they thought of our easement first.

Absolutely perfect experience. Our driver, George, picked us up at 8 from our hotel to start our tour. Because it was a holiday there was no traffic initially so we did an overall tour of the city and its key places before it got crowded. Also, because it was a holiday, there were no fees for entrance into any of Athens' exhibits. A blessing and curse. After 10 am the crowds at the Acropolis etc became expansive. It took more time to walk around and enjoy all the sights, because of the crowds, but George was very patient. Dropped us off very close to the entrances and retrieved us quickly when we were done. In between sites he explained the site and it's history in detail making it much more realistic. For a break, he took us to his neighborhood coffee shop, off the beaten path with no tourists, for a fabulous quick and inexpensive brunch and coffee. Then on we went. He had an outline for the day to hit all the main attractions but was able and willing to modify and customize it for our needs and because of the holiday crowds and road closures. Overall it was a fabulous experience in an ancient town full of history with an excellent driver and guide. I would highly recommend this, as a must do tour. Worth every penny!

First time in Athens so we really wanted to make the most of the short time we had. Our guide Aristotle was incredible! He was so knowledgeable... not only about Greek history and culture, but also the history of the entire region and how it all fits together. We had terrific dialogue at each place we visited, leading to a more in-depth understanding than one would get with most tour groups. Aristotle was so very kind and patient as well - never trying to hurry us, always willing to go the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable and engaged. I simply cannot say enough good things about him and the experience in total. If you're done with the "follow the flag" mass tours, do yourself a favor and hire him!

We had a wonderful tour with Nasos. We got to all of the attractions before the crowds arrived. The changing of the guards was great and we had a wonderful lunch before returning to our hotel. He was very knowledgeable about everything we saw.
