Get a historical overview of the Buda Castle District, walk through the small cobblestone streets and squares with a professional local guide. You'll get a feel for its medieval aspects from the first stone laid to the present day use. Your guide will lead you through the Castle area and its historical points, occupations and roles it played throughout the Hungarian history. We'll also show you around inside the Matthias Church and tell its stories and legends. Enjoy the magnificent view over the city from Fisherman’s Bastion.

During this tour, you will see the major sights including Royal Palace, the Presidential Palace, Disz Square, Holy Trinity Square, Hess Andras Square, Buda Tower

Petra was a great guide and was very informative! Spent some time getting to know the group but focused heavily on the history of the Castle District and St. Matthias Church. Worth the $, positive experience.

I booked the tour on line for Buda Castle and when we arrived no one from viator was there and the workers at the facility said it was a scam and the tour only costs a few euros and we were charged $137.00. It was a long walk there up hill - very disappointing.

It was all in work. Didn't like anything. The view of Pest from here is beautiful. But I was disappointed not to visit the castle.

This was a fantastic tour! Petra was a wonderful guide—informative, entertaining, and personable with everyone on the tour. She brought the history of Buda Castle to life in an engaging way and made the walk both educational and fun. I would definitely take this tour again and highly recommend it to others visiting Budapest.

Monika gave us a brilliant, knowledgeable tour of the Matthias Church and its surrounds explaining its historical relevance and restoration. We then walked through to the Buda Palace where she again covered the various incarnations of Buda, all the way from the original pre medieval settlement, through the various empires and occupations, to its present EU membership. Our time in Budapest was limited and this tour was certainly worthwhile, especially being guided by someone who grew up in Buda and had local knowledge of its history and personal experience of many of the changes that have occurred. Thank you Monika.

Spent a very pleasant two hours in the company of a great gaudier learning about the history of Buda Castle and its landmark buildings. So much better than trying to find out by ourselves our guide was very knowledgeable, informative and made the two hours fly by. We greatly enjoyed this

Well presented and paced tour. Great sized group. Interesting and well presented history. Would highly recommend for someone with limited time in Budapest
It was a very hot day the tour guide took this into consideration looking forward shaded spots before speaking.

The guide was interesting and informative I was glad that I picked a smaller group as the larger groups looked a bit bored and disengaged
