We’ve probably done about 30 food tours at this point and I think this might have been the best one. I think the food was good but the thing that made the tour amazing was Sameh. It felt like we were on a night out with an old friend. So many unexpected delights.

Highly recommend this tour to get to know Cairo. The city is overwhelming on your first visit, but this tour gets you to know the amazing Egyptian culture and taste the delicious Egyptian food. Sameh is extremely outgoing and friendly. A great representative for Egyptian culture. We loved this tour and wouldn't hesitate to recommend. Actually we've already recommended it to others staying at our hotel

You don't want to miss this tour with Sameh! This is the most fun thing to do. A fantastic food tour with the best local food. You see the Cairo where the locals eat. Also a boat trip on the Nile and a crazy tuk tuk race through the city. You MUST do this, it doesn't get better 100%!

We met with our guide Sameh shortly after landing in Cairo, and we felt that it was the the best way to orient ourselves eVairo and Egyptian food. Sameh was so fun, full of valuable information, and great tips for the best food! We tried so many bites, and delicious drinks! We fell in love with freshly made Hawawshi- so good! Thank you Sameh for the best way to get to know Cairo; you are amazing!

Semsem is an amazing host taking us to hidern local spots. He was able to combine this with history and a cultural perspective. He shared his love of food along with his favored Egyptian music. His engaging and joval personality made for a fun tour. To many highlights to pick, however I did really enjoy the tamarind drink. Would highly recommend Semsem to those who wish to get off the beaten path and enjoy local cuisine.

We have done food tours in many different countries and Mr Sameh is one of the best guides we have ever had! He is extremely personable, positive and provides lots facts about culture, history and present day traditions. We stopped at least 10 different locations and in many were shown the process they used in preparing the dishes. If you want to experience authentic Cairo we highly recommend spending time w Mr Sameh.

SemSem was our host. He was kind and personable. And our overall assessment of the tour was that it was superb. Unfortunately, it came on the heels of a lonf pyramid day for us, so we weren't super thrilled. . Not his fault. The food was tasty and plentiful. Do come with an appetite, as you WILL be well fed. If I had to go back and remember the # of food stops, I'd say 8-10 including ice cream... plus 2 drink spots. Additionally, we were taken on a felucca ride on the Nile; that was lovely. We also finished the night racing around in a TukTuk... some might consider that dangerous. It was definitely and adrenaline hit. Good tour. Highly recommend.

Sameh was our guide and what a hoot it was. We got to taste some amazing local foods, meet the staff and participate. Even included a felucca ride and tuk tuk. Sameh was a great host, funny and very entertaining.
