5.00Our trip to Egypt was something we’ll never forget, and what made it truly special was our amazing guide, Amna Elshourbagy (whom we nicknamed "Hatshepsut"), and our wonderful driver. Amna is a fiercely independent Egyptian woman who majored in Egyptology and works full-time as a tour guide. From the moment we met her, we knew we were in the best hands. She didn’t just show us the Pyramids of Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum—she opened the door to Egypt’s heart and history. Amna had a way of explaining things that made everything come alive. Whether we asked about ancient artefacts, Egyptian culture and its political system, or everyday life, she always had an answer, and it was clear how much she genuinely loves what she does. We felt comfortable with her instantly—almost like being shown around by a friend who truly cares about sharing her home with you. We also felt the warmth of the Egyptian people throughout the day. And yes… we’re pretty sure we got the “tourist price” during our perfume stop and visit at the papyrus institute, but even that made us laugh, and will be one of those stories we’ll remember and share fondly with a smile on our face! We only had one full day in Cairo, and choosing this tour with Amna made every moment count. She and our driver took such good care of us. We felt safe, unrushed, and completely looked after from the beginning of the tour until the end. By the time our day ended, we weren’t just grateful—we were already talking about coming back. Egypt has a way of capturing your heart, and thanks to Amna, ours is set on returning in the very near future!

She is exceptionally knowledgeable, passionate about her country, and able to explain history, culture, and daily life with clarity and enthusiasm. Every visit felt richer thanks to her insights. Beyond her professionalism, she is genuinely kind, caring, and attentive. She creates a warm atmosphere where you feel safe, welcomed, and fully immersed in the moment. Her energy is lovely, her personality is beautiful, and she knows how to make every day unforgettable. One thing to be aware of: she is the type of person you don’t want to let go once the trip ends. She has this natural way of becoming a friend, not just a guide. When you say goodbye, you already miss her presence. I highly recommend her to anyone visiting Egypt. She is truly wonderful.
